I'm watching that trailer, looks like they didn't fix the framerate issue. Hopefully they'll solve the ping issue many of the testers were having. I'm still hopeful but yea...
Nice to see some footage, I hope this is available soon as it looks rather charming and fun for a portable mmo.
The game is going to have a hard time performing against Pocket Legends. I hope if there are still framerate issues they delay the release a bit and fix them, because Pocket Legends looks like the real deal and will definitely eat this game alive if it is buggy.
Pocket Legends has a Pay-for-Content system though after playing up to level 12. If IMO is a one-time payment like any other app, IMO would probably prevail, but that's only if it isn't buggy. We'll just have to see.
I think Pocket Legends is not like Maple Story or IMO. It looks like Diablo style. Only a few players can play with in one dungeon. Anyway, I'd like to play Pocket Legends too ASAP.
I think that's about right. I've played both games, and while IMO wasn't my thing, I can see how someone who is very interesting in the social aspect of MMO would prefer it. Pocket Legends is very task oriented, as in "let's get together and beat that dungeon." IMO is more open (like Maple Story), with creating alliances/guilds a big part of the gameplay. I think there's room for both types of games in the platform.
I dont think anyone answered an earlier post of mine. How do you level up in this game? Are there quests? Do you just grind? Are there instances/dungeons? Someone told me to look at the intro stuff, but none of these things were mentioned, but I know people are in a beta, so I figure somebody should know how you level up.
Hmm...do quests at least give you descent drops? I guess I shouldn't be suprised as most Korean developed MMO's are grindfests.
Usual RPG fodder...in the Beta it took an unusually long amount of time to grind and gain exp, even for RPG standards. Quests are there, but few and far in between. There are dungeons as well.
I was on the beta for a bit -- ended up dropping out because the game was clearly not to my taste (too much social stuff). If I remember correctly, you could get quests from a vendor in town. You could grind to level up (thought it didn't seem to take much early on).
Anyone know what the status are and what they do? And also, what's a good pvp class? And lastly, is this one of those mmorpg where You stock up potion like crazy and spam during grinds? Or healers really important for grinds?
