Wow, a dollar?!?! This is going to be a steal. Another great (so they say) KRPG to add to my collection. You can never have enough RPGs xD, or at least I can't heheh..excited! But seriously, what a freaking bargain.
As in, this'll be on the AppStore tomorrow in the US? Because in the video Jumpman posted, under the comments he says no longer than a month from now, wouldn't he have said sooner if it was really tomorrow? And, if that's the case, would it not already be out in NZ?
Good points/questions. After watching Jump's video, I am considering buy this now. I bought all those other ones and this price is cheap...maybe I will like it more than Inotias and Zenonias and Seeds. Might wait on more impressions, unless its a buck and then I may just do it.
This is from mobileallstars email that the beta testers got a couple days ago "Wild Frontier will launch on January 31.". Look for it tomorrow when u wake up.
That video has been up for a while. Beta testers got an email saying that it will be out tomorrow. Not every release hits in NZ first btw.
Just a quick side note. If you guys watched the video and saw that just about every monster automatically attacks when you get close, its not like that outside of dungeons. Only some monsters auto attack you. Others dont give a crap how close you get to them. But they do attack after you attack them.
I must say, if nothing else this at least has two things going for it: the price and the file size. I'm also finding the art to be slightly more appealing and just sufficiently different from every-other-asian-rpg. On my radar.
Oh, then it will be out for me in a few hours! ^^ Definitely going to buy @ 99c, afraid that i'm too trigger happy with these cheap korean rpgs and now I have a bunch stockpiled that I've never played =/ This thread reminded me I have Monster Tri Hunters LOL. I'm going to go play that while waiting...
Not all releases happen in NZ first. Could very well come out, just in US or even possibly Korean time. I wouldn't hold your breath though.
Oh man, I'm so pumped for the release of this game... I've been waiting for another RPG to play, since Inotia 3 got boring to me after an hour for some reason
game has a good framerate. I'm not bothered by te Zenonia 1-like ui and holding the button to pick up items off of a monster is a nice change of pace. I could get into this. easily beats inotia 3.
$0.99 for a game that beats Inotia 3 all every way possible. Also, if you read korean forums, there might be a network system because they sort of have a ranking system on their site. I got a refund from buying Inotia 3 and will choose Wild Frontier over anything any time of the day. The game offers a lot of new features I've never experienced on an iphone before. I've been playing this game since Early January when it was on US iTunes for $0.99 but language was in korean so they had to remove it. Anyway, here are the best new features: • A $0.99 game that beats $4.99-$9.99 game out there. Seriously, this is the real deal! • Graphics is unbelievably sharp for a pixelated game. Everything moves smoothly from characters to environment to monsters etc etc, not like Inotia 3 where characters looks constipated or something. This is like playing a game on a much higher more advanced console than iDevices can offer. • Weather System is great where it affects the monsters and characters. This is really new to my RPG experience. • Pet System. Another Great and New Feature! "The World of Magic" announced the pet system since mid last year and has never updated ever. WF's pet system is great that you can capture ANY small monsters in the game and make them your pet. Pet doesn't only loot for you, but buffs and fights for you as well. And you can equip them with weapons and armors! • Item Creation is also new where the character forge his own equipment. All you need to do is hunt for a recipe guide and the recipe and forge your new equipment wherever you can rest. There is still a lot to mention but unfortunately, my copy is in Korean language so, I can't give you all the info I wanted to share yet. Anyway, having a different language version didn't stop me from playing this game for a month now. And as an RPG addict gamer for nearly 18 years now, I'd say this $0.99 game is REALLY WORTH IT even for a $4.99-$9.99 price! • Network system is possible in the future updates or maybe in WF 2 or WF 3 but who knows. It is even possible for a MMORPG an this game will seriously beat The World Of Magic and Pocket Legends anytime of the day! So grab your copy in a few hours and Play endlessly!!! ^_^ Have fun!!! My bad for being so much of a fanboy. I'll point out the negatives too. • Game UI is not as comfortable as it is because the controls is too near and fixed. I remember dying for wrong buttons. • Sound settings are in one on/off switch instead of Music/SfX • Hunting for Heroic Pets are freaking hard unless maybe you buy the IAP item. Oh well, I was never able to hunt heroic pets yet. Only rare ones. • I have never made any main quest so I have only accessed common environments so I have nothing to say about how hard or easy it is when grinding on higher level mobs. I was only able to hit level 60 grinding black dragons and I got one as a pet. • When it's night time, it's hard to see monsters or maybe my brightness is set too low. • Change of weather is too fast for me. I hate it. • What else, hmmm, camera movements, kind of a bit draggy. Gave me a headache after hours of gameplay. Or whatever.
