    Hi,

I'm the developer of Skedu, an iPhone app that lets you manage schedules and such for conferences or music/film festivals. One of my users made a data set for this week's Game Developer Conference in San Francisco, so I thought I'd try to get the word out about its availability. He suggested this site.

So if you're going to the GDC, check out this app. You can download the GDC data once you have the app installed.

    See www.skeduapp.com

Incidentally, I'm also the developer (day job) for an iPhone game called Lumosity Brain Trainer, currently in the top 100 games overall category in the app store. I'm glad to have found this community and I'm looking forward to participating!

Downloaded it. I'm going to the GDC and I was able to find all of the seminars that I will be attending on the list except for one.

Seems like a cool little app. Thanks!

Hope it works well for you! Please feel free to give me any feedback.

You're actually the first person I don't personally know who is using it as far as I know :)

This is something I wrote to scratch my own itch when I wanted a iPhone schedule for a music festival I want to last October (Symbiosis Gathering in Yosemite). Over the last few months I've been slowly working on it on weekends to make it generally useful for anyone.

I've had downloads from all over the world, but as the app is useless until you import event data, and the importing of event data pings my server with the URL (so I can see if the data creator wants me to add it to the public directory). Only one person besides me has added a data file so far. The GDC data was added by someone I know, which was still exciting for me as he didn't tell me first.

One of the ideas I'd like to pursue is turning attending an event into a game, kind of like 4[ ] turns going out to bars into a game. That seems like a fun way to enhance any event, especially if the event attendees themselves can define the game parameters.

Okay, last day at the GDC for me was today. I found this app useful for sorting out the events that I was going to attend or was interested in. Was nice to be able to see what seminars etc I was going to attend and their times and locations without flipping through a dozen or more pages in the booklet.

The app displays a list of all lectures, seminars or whatever for a particular event - in my case, the GDC. You can mark some of these as "favorites" which are all viewable on a separate page for easy access.

The time and location is given for each selection, as well as a description of the lecture (the GDC website and pamphlet didn't even have a decent description so big plus!).

    Good app, thanks!
