Update, 08/28/2009: U SMS version 3.1 has been submitted to the app store. This version includes the ability to pick your own [email protected] address and also displays the contact name in push notifications.
Cool, I'll probably finally buy this when that update is approved/released then. Thanks for the info.
Update, 09/11/2009: Apple rejected our 3.1 submission. However, we have fixed what they wanted us to fix and resubmitted 3.1 with another feature: Ability to personalize the app
I have a question. Is there a way to route a text from regular text messaging to the Text Free? Someone I text with isn't always going to keep our convo going they'll probably delete it. So every time they text the first time i'll get charged. Does any text app do this? route the texts? It feels like it doesn't replace the text app that comes with the iPhone.
In 3.1, you can pick your own [email protected] address, which solves this problem. You can tell your friends to text you at that address instead of your number so you won't get charged.
