Shame it looks like portrait only though. I prefer landscape on my iPad, but still....it has tweaked my interest. And no iap’s and apparently can be played offline too. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #3 Royce, Feb 6, 2020 it’s great but the landscape thing was literally my first thought when I started playing. It would make so much more sense on iPad and it would actually look better. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #4 stubbieoz, Feb 6, 2020 I just sent an email off to the dev asking if it would be possible to have an option to change it to landscape. Who knows,,,, with our purchases they might be able to afford to at least consider it lol. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #5 ste86uk, Feb 6, 2020 What is roguelike about the game? Is it done in runs or one continuous game? stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #6 stubbieoz, Feb 7, 2020 Okay, I’ve only managed about an hour of playing so; This is indeed a roguelike that you slowly become more powerful after each death. You aim is.... drumroll.....to defeat the final boss! (didn’t see that coming did ya?) You start out as a single character and depending on a choice you are asked at the beginning you will be given two companions (who so far seem to have random abilities and skills). You follow a linear path which will have one or two short branches you follow to make your way to a boss. If you defeat the boss you progress to the next chapter. Along the way you can upgrade your skills and you can hire militia to help you. When you die, and you will, you have to restart your journey all over again with a new character but you will have some left over abilities from your previous attempt to make the going easier. So a definite feeling of progression after every death. Far as I have seen you can save whenever, so mobile friendly there, and while I would have liked it to be landscape it plays quite well in portrait mode on an iPad. It appears to have a fair bit of depth with a skill tree that allows you to enhance your followers, though at this early stage I don’t know if those skills carry over when you restart. So far I am very happy with the purchase. ste86uk likes this. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #9 Royce, Feb 11, 2020 I’m fairly certain they’re just cheap, no special ability. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,127 703 113 #10 anthony78, May 10, 2020 Picked this up with it being on sale for $1.99. Nice little rogue like game. I actually like that it’s portrait. Well done! ste86uk likes this. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #11 ste86uk, May 10, 2020 Last edited: May 10, 2020 I’m tempted by this on its sale price too, it does sound pretty great from what Stubbieoz said. I don’t know how I didn’t get it then. Maybe it got swept away in the tide of games as can happen! Edit: picked it up, hopefully find time to check it out soon between all the other games I want to play right now. stubbieoz likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
