    DISCLAIMER:
These impressions are from the soft-launched version from the Netherland Appstore. I don't know if and how the release version will differ. Take these impressions with a grain of salt. I really like it and would recommend to give it a try, if your intrest is piqued.

Redribbon, i enjoy Dead Trigger, too. I just finished another session Unkilled and i think the level design and pacing of the Zombie waves is different in a subtle way, but it feels great to play.
Streamlined, bite-sized mindless Zombie slaying fun.
You play one level after the other a la Candy Crush with three stars for different objectives. More stars, more experience, more money.you can probably go back to three star levels, but i haven't felt the need to do so and rather wanted to keep going. Later levels require certain upgrade levels, but gaining the necessary cash is not that hard, way quicker than in DT 2. Timers are faster, too. Very early you unlock a raid level where you can earn cash and exp by fulfilling three randomly picked objectives per run. These require skill, but are quite achieveable as i missed them sometimes only by seconds or being one headshot short. They are maybe a bit harder at first for very casual players, but still do-able with practice and time.

I started playing casually monday afternoon and i'm playing level 63 right now. Levels feel varied enough that i haven't gotten tired of the look or layout or repetion once. In fact, even if a level was used twice or so, it felt different because of a different starting point.

    And Rip, thanks ;)

    EDIT:
Marek, i would love if you add a survival mode where the Arcade gameplay is turned up all the way to eleven! With headshots and multikills giving you extra time or health. Or a sniper mode where only headshots count. Add combo bonus to the mix and you got a great highscore chaser game.

It has only the city location? No worldwide environments like in DT2?What about energy bars? How many bars are there and how fast 1 bar regenerates?

    Im a youtube gamer/streamer
I been playing the game and to be blunt i was bored maybe i was just tried as it was a long time at the time as i found myself yawning and that really happens when im playing testing a game. Yes there energy system of which after 17mins will run out, you can get a one bar refill by watching a video or of course paying some gold.

The strangest thing in the game is how the zombies just phase out like they been beamed up ie star trek style i suppose its to keep the redraw down of dead zombies down still it looks weird.

    @Grace. Thanks for the impressions.
It all sounds good to me, especially as you've gotten to that level so fast since Monday and without any need for iap or what at least sounds like no pressure to get iap (assuming you don't have many international bank accounts:)).
Plus if you've put that much time in it already, I'm pretty sure it'll entertain me equally as much.
    Cheers and thanks.
I'll have a lot of catching up on you to do on Thursday.

@nxtboyIII. I don't recall anybody claiming the reflections would work on a 4S.
I think we all know at this stage that different devices have different effects turned on or off depending on what they are capable of so the 4S point seems somewhat null.
I thought the original point was whether the reflections themselves were dynamic or not.
You thought they were baked on. It turns out they are not and are in fact dynamic. Pretty simple really.
Older devices, such as the ipod 5 which is actually the device you originally mentioned, will simply have the water effects turned off therefore reflections turned off.
Any device capable of running the water effects and reflections will have realtime dynamic ones. Again pretty simple really.
Sometimes its best to just say thank you when the CEO and co founder of the company comes in and answers the question.
I think we all know by now that not all devices are equal, especially four year old ones.

hmm.. I cannot use LOL or talk like others on the forums ? Sorry, but I dont use dress code at office, Im not talking like manager even as CEO now ;) Im missing old times, when I was developer and was talking at these forum with our fans.

Even after 15 years in game industry I dont understand , why developers have to talk different then players ? This is racism ;)

    Peace
    Marek

Energy bar is balanced well.. When Im testing game, I dont have any issue with it and Its not for monetization purpose.. It sounds weird, but it helps people to play game longer ;)

But of course, some people hate it.

I don't know yet how the story unfolds. Up to this point i played 63 different levels that take place in one city, but it has various indoor and outdoor environments. Remember how the outdoor environments in DT2 felt narrow and cramped? This is not the case anymore. Like i said before the changes are subtle but very much for the better.

And Rip, you're right. I haven't used any IAPs at all. Not even notifications to max my playtime. I watched three ads to continue at some points after i won the gattling gun In the lottery (wanted to try it out so badly).
I'm with Marek that timers are means to help you enjoy a game longer. This is not The Last Of Us, Resident Evil or COD Zombies. This is bite-sized action for a mobile system, designed to be fun and entertaining.
I don't know if you guys play One Piece Treasure Cruise. I love the franchise and that game, but without timers there would be nothing to stop me from grinding all the good characters. And then? But because of timers, you get a feeling of accomplishment overcoming the odds with what you have, you have a stronger feeling of a stroke of luck when your fav character drops. So timers and stamina do help to enjoy something longer.

I have to admit that i felt underwhelmed when i first saw footage of Unkilled, it looked like Dead Trigger all over again. But now after spending some time with it, i think it's a refined, advanced version, that plays much better. So i urge people to give it an honest try, before slamming it right from the start. You might have some fun.
