Welcome to this thread dedicated to our game UniWar. It has been submitted for review on the AppStore last Monday April 6. We do not know how long Apple will take to review the game and when it will come out on the AppStore. However, we would like to take advantage of this forum to answer any and all questions that future players may have. All questions will be answered by the designers of the game themselves, right from the source. So please, fire away!
we posted info on Uniwar at GDC http://toucharcade.com/2009/03/26/preview-of-uniwar-a-turn-based-strategy-game/
Cant wait till this comes out. Couple of q's....... Would i be able to play, oh, 2 v 2 online as me and my friend against two computers Could i play me and a computer and my friend and a computer How long are the campaigns? Is there one for every race or just one huge switch off campaign? What do you intend to add in future updates? Will the campaign be filled with little clips or story in between missions or will it just be battle after battle with no backstory? Thanks, greatly looking forward to this game!
Well, considering it was put into apple on the 6th according to my calculations it will be out early 2010. JK but really, it will be out a long time from now, figuring that CJS was submitted later no good games will be out for a while >:l
i only have one question...what are you going to include in future updates (or do you not know yet) and the game looks great by the way I'm gonna get it when it comes out...
The "regular" price is set to $7.99. Howver, the price at launch will be $0.99 until the game climbs up the rankings. Once it is in the top50 (keeping our fingers crossed), we will raise the price to $2.99 and once it gets to the top 25, it will be raised again to $4.99. After that the price will remain at $7.99. So get it early to get a steal of a deal!
That is BOLD, and a little bit cocky, power to you if you can pull it off. My only question, again, will there be randomized skirmish maps to battle AI outside of any of the campaigns?
1. You will be able to play 2v2 online against two computers or against another team. 3v3 and 4v4 on larger maps will also be possible. 2. Yes. You can also do a 2v2 where you are both in opposite teams each with a computer helping you. 3. The campaigns are fairly long since there are about 21 missions. Each one happens on a different map with different objectives. The campaigns are also used as a tutorial to teach the basic and more advanced rules. 4. There are 7 missions for each race. You play 7 missions as the Sapiens, then missions 8-14 as the Khraleans and missions 15 - 21 as the Titans 5. The game is all there in the first release so updates will only be there for bug fixing and performance improvement but the game is already rock solid so most people won't notice much with the updates. However, we have also a hot patch which can be triggered from the server at any time to update the attributes of the units. This should with balancing if needed but we don't necessarily expect to have to use it since we have already had thousands of games played to balance the units. 6. The campaigns do not have clips in between but there is a story written for the campaigns (pure text though).
We believe so... We have been playing it internally and are addicted to it and this is not some kind of advertising, it is the reality. The greatest aspect of this game is that you can play it against your friends and against anyone (especially since it will be released on other handsets in the future as well).
