Esfera, the 3D spherical chess game, just dropped to FREE. Grab it while you can. Also, Multitasking, the insane retro game where you play 9 games simultaneously, just dropped to 99 cents. Both on my list of unique, innovative and creative games.

I also picked up a few others because of recommendations in this thread: Trism, Dark Nebula, Rolando 2 (lite), and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP.

Edit: Dark Nebula is blowing me away, this is the best labyrinth game I've ever played. I went back and bought Dark Nebula 2 because of it. I just wish these games were universal HD for the iPad. Gonna hold on Rolando 2 until an HD version is released. Soosiz HD fills that void for now and is pure awesome.

Evac is a great game. One of my favorites.

Geon looks interesting, but has an empty thread on TouchArcade. Even the developers don't reply why I asked them about it. That game is not loved.

haha. They let this on the AppStore?!?!?

I downloaded the free version (had to confirm I was over 17).

The splash screen shows a naked man, running across a soccer field, with a massive gun in front of his privates.

You pick a game between two countries and then run into their game, to hit the players with bottles or a club. It's crazy!

...although, the players and field are done with surprisingly good graphics.

Yeah, I can't believe someone actually thought of this game and then also bothered to make it, it's nutz! In the full version of Super Streaker you go on an international soccer tour for the world cup, showing up naked and armed to every match and killing both teams (and other tasks), while trying not to get clobbered by increasingly tough security guards. The final world cup match is the hardest of all, and everybody must die. There's lots of weapon powerups (laser gun, bombs, barrels, etc), and you are naked and insane through the whole tournament. Once you win the world cup by killing everyone, you can replay against different team combos all the way through another cup. It's actually a pretty good game, and the seriousness of the 3D graphics and real soccer matches is great.

Many of the games you mention are good games, but not really unique or innovative in any way. Bullet Hell shooters have been made for 10+ years, The Creeps is one of 8,000 TD games launched, and AM is a TM, one of the most saturated genres in the casual market. Stretch the definition of innovative much more and it's going to snap. lol :)

Tiny Wings-nice graphics, fantastic music and addictive gameplay

Fruit Ninja-good feeling of slicing fruits just like a ninja

Real Racing 2- one of the most impressive racing titles on iOS, gorgeous 3D visuals and awesome gameplay

I agree with Dodonpachi Resurrection and Airport Mania but disagree with others .

Game dev story and Hot spring story is one of a kind .

The creeps may be one of the many TD games on the iOS store but if I'm not wrong , it's the only TD games with awesome varied special abilities plus destructible environment !

2Bit is unique because it's a combination of precision and platforming .

Collision Effect, Cows vs Aliens, Speedball 2 Evolution and splode are all one of a kind .

There may be other games that have a similar gameplay to 6th planet but none as good as 6th planet plus you've got an awesome storyline in the form of a comic . How is that not unique ?

When the word unique comes to mind , i think of one of a kind , different from others . Maybe we interpret the word differently ?

I didn't question any of those games you ardently defend, but that's a great debate tactic. No, that's the agreed upon definition, it's just that the games I highlighted from your list don't fit that definition. A point to which you admitted for 2 out of 3. Maybe Tower Attack would be a better TD example or Plants vs. Zombies even? Anyway, we disagree, but it matters not as long as everyone is enjoying their games. Forget about it, just making conversation.

    lol, very funny :p

Also, may I jut say that this thread has added at least 5 games to my appshopper wish list. Keep up the good work! :D

Edit: Oh yeah! Here's some games I haven't seen in the thread so far:
Eliss, Kosmo Spin, Trainyard, and Pix'n Love Rush.

I'd like to just list all of the amazing games that I have, but some of them aren't exactly unique; the thing about these ones is that in a large genre of the same kinds of games, these ones stand out for their pure awesomeness (e.g. League of Evil). I think this is what was getting confused in the previous page.

Edit 2: Oops, Eliss was already mentioned.

you make it sound like as I sound very angry . lol .

I wouldn't consider PvZ a TD game . More of a general strategy game rather .

You don't have to ask me which is better , it is your opinion (to what is considered unique, innovative and creative) after all . Although I like the 3D in this game , I don't like how the tower defence concept in it works . Towermadness . I mean , 3D in a tower defence game , now that should be innovative huh ?

Well, PvZ is a Tower Defense game, so it must be so freakin' innovative that you didn't even know what it was. The designers took elements of the TD genre and simplified them to the extent that mass market gamers could approach and enjoy the genre. That's what's brilliant about it. They may look like plants, but they are towers, dewd, and you are defending your house.

I didn't ask your opinion; it was a rhetorical question.

No idea what you are talking about with Tower Madness. I said Tower Attack. The reason I mentioned it is because innovates upon the Tower Defense genre. You control the incoming horde, instead of placing towers to defend your lanes from creeps.

These aren't the droids you're looking for; move along.

I'm not sure if i'm misinterpreting stuffs but from how I look at this , our conversation is becoming more of a personal argument and I would like it to end here .

Yes , my mistake again . PvZ is indeed TD . I only had a minute to reply to your post and from what I recalled , some gaming website (I cannot remember) classified it under strategy game rather than TD when there was a TD genre .

Tower Madness is a unique TD game because it is the first complete 3D TD game .

I'm not quite clear what you're trying to refer to in the last sentence but I'll drop it .

That’s the first one I thought of too! I bought it for both iPhone and iPad.

Helsing’s fire for sure, and Fantastic Contraption!

I’d also note iAssociate (word association) and Slay (great simple TBS—I recommend choosing the more colorful game skin).

And for disc-based multiplayer (is that a genre?) grab DiscPool and Disc Drivin’!
