There are several classes to unlock (this is the only metagame progression). You make your way through floors of random rooms, and occasionally there is an undetermined room that you have to spin for. You can choose one room type to increase the odds of it appearing, rooms with better reward potential seem to have greater risk as well. There are also room cards you can play to guarantee a given room. Within rooms there might be enemies, traps, or things with which you can interact (a refrigerator likely has food, a bed you can rest in to restore health, etc). There are various connections between rooms and some require cards (items) to use, like a ladder to climb up through a hole. When leveling up, you automatically gain one random stat increase and choose another from two random options. You can also gain skill points to use on the skill tree (the tree seems to be the same for all classes unfortunately, at least the 2 I have available). The goal of each floor is to collect items and find the door to the next floor. While you can carry a lot of items collected on a given floor, when you move to another floor you are limited to what you can carry in your bag (capacity can be increased with gear and leveling up). The tutorial is far from comprehensive, but I figured out the more important stuff pretty quickly. The English translation is not perfect (“your reach level 4”, “bandit made 18 damage”) but is not at all difficult to understand. Talbs, nickhoola, TheSilveryWolf and 4 others like this. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #10 Royce, Sep 16, 2019 They need both earth and light. So if you’re in a room with a dirt floor, and there’s a source of light, you can plant them. If there’s no light, you’ll need to use a torch first. After you plant them they’ll begin to grow and eventually can be harvested for a strawberry, and occasionally, I think, your seeds back too. More gear, enemy and ability variety would really make it more interesting. Not sure what level, 5 or 6 maybe, rest areas stopped spawning, so next run I’ll definitely hold on to the bedroom cards. Also, good idea to keep a backup weapon as they wear out. purexlove New Member Sep 17, 2019 2 6 3 #12 purexlove, Sep 17, 2019 Developer of the game here. Just letting you know that I'm following this thread. Big thanks for writing your reviews/opinions about the game. Already fixed those mistakes and will do additional proofreading. Sorry about that. Small clarification - right now 'HD version' development is frozen because I failed to raise enough funds for development. But things might change in the future. As for my current plans. I'm working on a minor update for Undervault which will focus on UI improvement and usability. It will include: - Fixes for UI on iPhone X in portrait mode - I'll try to make more clear that prison spawns monsters, and that room revealed with a card will have no monsters - Some visual improvement/polishing stubbieoz, adin, Anotherkellydown and 1 other person like this. purexlove New Member Sep 17, 2019 2 6 3 #13 purexlove, Sep 24, 2019 Last edited: Sep 25, 2019 The new update is now available.
