I already gave this feedback to the devs, so im just pointing it out here.

This is a great game that i truly enjoy, but it isnt perfect. One thing is that the jump kinda feels floaty, but it isnt broken at all, as it still is very playable. Maybe someday we'll see some tweaks on the jump physics, but for now, I am satisfied with the purchase.

The exploration is pretty decent, but i was hoping for multiple paths. As it is, it does kinda felt like the exploration also implemented in He-Man, but X-Men has larger levels.

The boss fights are sort of too easy, but still leave you satisfied when completing them. Boss fights are pretty varied too. Im hoping for more variation the further i get in.

The rate at which you gain abilities and their upgrades are fantastically well-balanced, considering you get the option to upgrade all characters you unlock to max.

Really enjoying this currently. Really, really enjoying it.

Playing on iPad Air. I encountered some lag on the first level in which you're running from a sentinel while also fighting baddies. There is a lot going on on-screen in this level which probably explains it. I wish there was a way to make the on-screen control option more transparent as they occasionally get in your way but I've found them more responsive than the swipe option so I have continued to use them.

Someone brought this up earlier. You always have to check the developers compatibility requirements, since the developers are not able to manually exclude the iphone 4 from apples official device reqs. Basically, the game wasn't built with the iPhone 4's specs in mind.

    I absolutely love this game!

I've made it to the Past now, so I think I'm far enough in to give impressions. Here we go:

First off, I love the entire visual presentation of the game. It falls somewhere between fluid animation and the motion comics that Marvel has done for the last few years. (Motion comics, if you don't know, are basically videos where the original art from the comic is taken and basically put on hinges, so that the characters are still flat but things like arms and mouths move.) I think that is a killer choice for this game, and I am impressed by the beauty of everything, especially when it zooms in on characters and you can really get a good look at how detailed and well designed the sprites are. Kudos to the max for that. Love love love it!

Second, I just think the game is truly fun. The story is great, the gameplay is about as tight as it can be on touch (I'm using swipe, which I think works really well), and the difficulty level is solid. I like how Wolverine is almost easy mode because he's tough and he heals, but Kitty requires more skill... then I found out you can switch X-Men in the middle of any level on the pause menu. That's so cool!

Third, I find upgrades to be incredibly well balanced. I have to play a few levels to get a character really upgraded, but I think that's how it should be. It doesn't feel like a grind. The reason I'm going back and playing levels is to get the Lore, not to get the experience points (though, it's nice to get a big helping every time I do go back.) Again, well done on this.

    Other quick things:
    a) Yeah, the jump is a little floaty. I kind of like it, though.
    b) There are glitches here and there. The most noticeable one so far was seeing Magneto for the first time. When he exits to the left, his arm and leg stay on the screen on the iPhone 5 (some sort of weird widescreen issue?)
    c) I would like to be able to zoom in on comic book covers in the lore menu.
    d) I feel like Kitty should be going through walls. Am I missing something?
    e) Since you can switch X-Men, it would be really cool in a sequel or a special level or something to have places that you have to have a specific character, sort of Lost Vikings style. I can see how that could get annoying, though.

Basically, I love this game. An easy 5 stars for me. Definitely one of the best things I've played this year. Completely worth $3

Yes, I know not to rely on Apple's requirements list. I'm going off of the devs own words in the game's description "*IMPORTANT* Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past requires an iPhone 4 (or newer), iPad 2 (or newer) or iPod Touch 5th Gen."

I'm definitely enjoying this game. Well worth the asking price. Someone early in the thread compared it (gameplay wise) to He-man and I concur.

It's a little laggy at times on my iPad 2 running 7.1.1 but I expect this to get ironed out in an upcoming patch.

4/5 stars for now. An easy 5/5 if lag is corrected.

Well, I just beat it, I just played with Shadowcat and Wolverine. I like that Shadowcat gets Lockheed as a familiar.

I'm not sure if this is an error, but I wanted to point out that the danger room level is marked as "future" when, not only does it take place in the past, at the start of the level, you are playing from the perspective of Kitty before her future self sends back her consciousness, so it's doubly worthy of a past designation IMHO.

I've started playing with Colossus now too and I have to say the meaningful differences between the characters are well done. It's not in the other side-scrolling X-Men games where the tie-in between what the characters are supposed to be able to do in the comics and how they factor into the game is largely inscrutable. It's clever that Wolverine, in addition to his healing, gains energy a lot faster than the other characters, but his specials aren't quite as easily applied. I haven't maxed Scarlet Witch and Cyclops yet.

I think the game could use maybe two more boss fights. I don't know whether that would mess with the story accuracy or not, but the extant boss fights are a highlight of the game and more of them would be welcome.

There is something off about air combat, perhaps because of the floatiness, perhaps not. I think it might throw players off how some moves that can work after one jump don't work after two jumps. I'm not suggesting that should be changed, per se, but it's easy to forget in hectic segments of the game. I'd scale back the number of stuff in the air in some of the more platforming-centric parts of the game where there could be a lot of falling into pits.

    Could be awesome

    Hi Glitchsoft,

I'm a huge X-men fan and I'm liking the game so far! Graphics, sound and animation are all top notch!

As another developer I feel like the game would be SO MUCH better if you fixed the floaty control.

the speed of jumping, falling and jumping while attacking is way too slow and breaks the smoothness of the rest of the game. :( While jumping/falling you should only be able to get a couple of hits in not stay up there forever.

I want this to feel like symphony of the night, where i'm a fast mutant jumping and slicing through every enemy.

If the game was 25% faster and floating jump was fixed this would be a 5 star game. Right now it's still a fun 4 stars.

Game is good for my four year old. I'm sticking to wayward souls. I would probably keep playing if it was coop and I could play over Bluetooth with my kid.

Fun X-Men game. Easily worth the asking price. I love the art and atmosphere. Def reminds me of the old genesis game but toned down.

I was slightly surprised to see some slight frame drops on my 5s. I didn't restart my device so maybe it'll go away. Otherwise an update addressing some performance tweaks would be beneficial.

Just got to play this, I'm on level 5 and unlocked the brown Wolverine suit.

    It's a fun game.

The level design is beyond dull, and the difficulty is super easy, but controls, despite being a little floaty, they're responsive and have certain nuance to it, like old-school Snes games.

Graphics are ok, at best, so are the animations.

It's just a fun game, I guess I expected more, but little surprises me when it comes to iOS gaming anymore.

Finished the game. I enjoyed it. Good job Glitchsoft.

So you know, Cyclop is the last character to be unlocked. For the frame rates, I encountered them until the end (iPad mini retina).

Can deadpool be confirmed as a future dlc?

Please add multiplayer coop. There was a port of an xmen arcade game and they never fixed multiplayer but had promised it. Every single reviewer wanted it. I know people wanna play xmen with their Friends and kids

Now that xmen app is removed from store probably cuz konami got tired of people asking for then to fix the multiplayer.

It was removed because Konami lost the rights.

Our hope for Deadpool would be too create a bunch of character specific levels and really bring out his personality. We'd love to guarantee DLCs but it really depends on how the game does.

The controller we're working on is the Moga.
