'True fan' or not, I am an England fan, but I am a football fan first and foremost. Germany thrashed us, but I can still respect them and the way they play (next to Spain, I think they're the most 'deserving' of the World Cup). IMO, the 'true fan' will always support their team, but be able to hold their hands up and say 'we deserved to get beaten, they played well'.
I guess I'll put a prediction down for the very last game of the World Cup, even though I may well be eating my words later. 1-1 with Spain to score 1 (and win) in extra time.
Ladies and gents, this is what Netherlands looks like without luck. Losing in possessions, all passes being intercepted, there attempts at a goal involve kicking it halfway across the court, and terrible fouls. At some point SKILL does play a factor...Who knows though, Netherlands still have 45 minutes for their luck to kick in.
Really rough half, fouls aplenty by both sides, though more from the Dutch, who should really only have 9 or 10 men left after that (the usual suspects, Van Bommel and De Jong). I think the coach will be telling them to calm down at half time.
You known something is wrong when Dutch misses simple passes. My dad is attempting to root for Holland, they are die hard Germany fans who hate Spain, but they're becoming rather frustrated trying to support them. Robben is a really good player IMO, but Holland players just stand around doing nothing, so he has to do most of everything. 7 yellow cards...This game is too violent.
Yeah, actually they are. They might have about th same number of fouls, but Netherlands' fouls are a LOT dirtier.
Holland can't keep the ball inside. What's ironic is that Robben is actually getting some awesome looks, great player, but he is actually being UNLUCKY!
