At times Spain played football that was either as beautiful or more so than Brazil, so no. Great second half though, Spain stepped it up and in the end deserved to win based on how they played. Some questionable refereeing, as is the norm now, but even more questionable substitutions from Joachim Loew, taking of Boateng, and then, when they're 1-0 down, deciding to bring on Gomez, who is IMO one of the worst strikers in Europe. Amazing 'bullet-header' from Puyol though, one of the shortest on the pitch, but with one hell of a jump.
I want one for myself it could be really profitable btw, I was chearing for Spain , and when the coatch took out villas at the end I got really scared! and then he took out Alonso too, was he mad or what? wot would have happened if germany was going to score? and they would go to penalties? I think that was madness.
Oh my god, my brother and I were screaming after he didn't pass to Torres. Worst decision of the WC, he deserved to get subbed off after that. It gets worse and worse the more you see it (and even more so in slow-mo). The first one was questionable I agree, but I think he just wanted to give Torres a chance to boost his confidence (which he surely would have done if that damn Pedro would have just given him an easy goal). The Alonso sub I think was just to time-waste, and also to bring on their 'lucky charm'.
I enjoyed the game even though there was only one goal. Spain have to be fav's to win now as the netherlands have just scraped by. Traitoring basterd octopus. He should definatly be sent to "Yo! Sushi" after the world cup.
