Gosh, what am I going to do when the World Cup is over? Anyways, who do you think is more likely to get (a/an) assist(s)/goal(s): Schweinsteiger or Iniesta? Podolski or Klose?
Nah. I'm just trying to find the right combination for my World Cup Fantasy team. I'm not sure which combination to go for: Schweinsteiger-Klose or Ozil-Podolski?
I go for Schweinsteiger / Villa, with an european team winning the final , at least I can still chear for that, hehehe.
So now, after England and other teams lost the world cup, Fifa decided to start using some kind of technology to overcome some otherwise disgraceful situation, what do you think about it? what kind of technology would you like to see? IMO it would be good to check for Offsides and phantom illusionary goals using laser and microchips in the ball and on players, with some kind of GPS system. this way, the referee will know exactly what is going on, and the game will not slow down. But more realistically they will use some kind of side pitch replay, where the will stop the game for sometimes to evaluate the situation.
I think they should go all out, and even invent technology. For instance, Adidas already has a chip system for determining whether a goal is actually a goal. They should use that system, as well as put chips into the players shinguards (because I feel that if the chips were at the tips of the players cleats, there would be A LOT of offsides and the game would be more difficult) and have a different "signal" for each team, that way you won't have to replace them each game. Then, (lol) we give the refs super-neat glasses in which, if needed, they can just press a button and a top down view of the pitch can be shown, with the signals of all the players so they can determine if something really IS offsides (while this is extremely far-fetched, after trying on Samsung's 3D TV, the glasses are just normal sunglasses until you press a button and then they transform into 3D glasses.) Or, you know, we could just have a fifth ref in a box looking at multiple TV's showing multiple angles, and they could communicate using... oh, I dunno, the microphones they already wear? I think the latter would be the most realistic, but the first would be epic
Every time the ball goes into the back of the net, it should be reviewed whether it was a legit goal or not.
Not sure but I think the Dutch should go 4-4-2 since De Jong is going to be suspended I think they should play Huntelaar up there with Van Persie
Nah. I'm pretty sure they will stick to their current formation with De Zeeuw likely to come in. I just need to know whether Mathijsen is going to play or not!
Random_Guy's Random Fact #41: If the Netherlands don't win this year's World Cup, then New Zealand will be the only team that have gone through the tournament undefeated.
This was used in the UEFA cup laster year (Europa Cup) and while it worked better then without, it still didn´t solve many issues like offsides and penalties. It´s definatly a nice addition to nothing, but i´m sure a lot more can be done.
