USA did not play well at all.

They couldn't score a single goal (unless it was a penalty kick, and they BARELY made that one), and kept trying to cross into the box when it was pretty clear the Ghana players could jump higher than any of them.

On defense, they once again gave up two quick goals after the break, both of which were the result of taking their eyes off the ball and basically being beat on the run. Not to mention Howard should've stopped the first one.

I went to a bar to watch this game, and while the USA goal was fantastic (everyone went crazy), the overall game was depressingly horrid.

At least I'm a Brasil fan, so I wasn't THAT into this game, or I might have killed myself.

    ...JK... maybe.

They basically gave the ball away the entire time during Extra Time...

I'm pretty sure if Howard had scored off that attempted "hand of God" it would've gone in, and he would've instantly become one of my favorite players of all time. Since he's taller than the other keeper it would've actually been believable.

    Unlike a 5'4" midget "jumping over" a 6'1" keepr...

Ok, i'm not saying America played brilliantly and in the end they did make mistakes that cost them. But you cant say they played really badly. In the secound half i think they played well and after that equaliser they definatly looked like the stronger side by far.

They came out and played for 30 minutes. 15 minutes into the 2nd half, and the 2nd half of Extra Time.

I think that is a bit harsh. I think we will have to agree to disagree.

And reality comes crashing down. The U.S. may qualify every year competing from a shitty CONCACAF, but they aren't world class or even good material for the world cup. Having a crappy defense while kicking Hail Mary longballs hoping to be lucky and catch a break can only get you so far.

Me neither. Still, it'll be an interesting game, I don't think we've played a 'big' international side in a competitive match for ages.
