Just finished the game last night. Ended up level 48 warrior with over 156,000 gold. Best game I ever played on my iPhone 4. Gonna play through again as a Mage on my iPad.
It's even better on the iPad. It'll be my personal favorite iPad game once they release the enhanced iPad ui. I still played through it twice already, and I'll play though again with the paladin class.
Lost Gemstone to Enter Azra Temple I think I screwed up big time! I already went to Drake's Island via Sunclaw, got the Drake Egg and the gem from the chest on the island. But I think I sold the gem when I was trying to buy all the mounts from the Horse guy in Callihiem! I tried everything from abandoning "The Plan" quest to trying to buy it back from the horse guy, but I've offically lost the gemstone! I'm screwed aren't I? Now I can't get into the temple and of course I don't have a backup save before I lost the gem. Does anyone know what the name of the gem was?
1. Is it possible to complete quests from both Ug and Og or do you have to choose one over the other? Ug wants you to kill Og and Og wants you to get Helga's Ring. It seems to me the only way to get Helga's Ring is to kill Ug (Helga's Ring is not in the chest). Therefore either Ug or Og (or both) must die leaving 1 quest abandoned. ...Right? 2. Also, I can't find Chief Kargath's lair around Cranyon Lake, where is it?
If I recall correctly, it was a "seal" and not a gem? Either way, you can probably just go back to the island and get another one. You may just need to swim there (about a two minute swim). Just swim straight out into the water (use the dock as a guide). You'll soon see the island pop up on screen. You'll have to swim back, too.
1. As far as I know, you can't do both Ug and Og quests. 2. If I recall correctly, you need to go all the way around the lake (it's a counter-clockwise walk/ride). Once you've gone all the way around the lake there's an entrance to the lair.
That's what I was hoping too, I have gone back to the island. No gem or seal in the chest! I'm so screwed! 20+ hours down the drain!
Thank you! Found Kargath's Lair, it was just tucked away to the side past Og. Helga's Ring lets you fly?!? Amazing, who needs to jump when you can fly? Edit: Now that my inventory is not full I can remove Helga's Ring, coolest item in the game so far...
I cannot find Icefang's egg in Shadowspire Mines. I went all through the mines and killed Ashmore, but I don't see the egg anywhere. Edit -- Nevermind I found the answer on page 52 of this thread.
It's in a chest behind where Ashmore was standing. To the left of the exit, I believe. it's a little dark and hidden in a small cutout but it should be there.
Yeah really lame! Anyone have any ideas? perhaps start a new game and get the seal and put it in the bank? Does that carryover from game to game?
Ok I'm on the quest where you have to meet Gorlak at the Callehiem palace I got stuck at the door with lvl 100 lock. What to do? Thanks!
Yes indeed, the "go anywhere, do anything" sandbox concept is potentially littered with hazards for the unwary gamer. One little catch that you may wish to explore on a subsequent playthrough would be to abandon the first quest (that you get from Roderick in the initial cutscene), which is actually the very first quest of the main story. Abandon that quest and you can never, ever get it back again. Then play the game for as long as possible before realising that you haven't done any of the main story. Awesome! Alternatively, admit to yourself that, even if you hadn't lost the seal, playing any videogame is arguably x number of hours "down the drain". My own personal view - if you enjoyed those 20+ hours, you will probably enjoy another 20+ doing it all again slightly differently. I've "wasted" many thousands of hours on videogames, possibly whole years of my life spent pressing buttons and making virtual characters move around pointlessly - will my deeds in those games be remembered proudly after I am long gone? Nope. Big deal, it's fun.
Good point I have enjoyed it, just upsetting that I can't finish it. But what are you going to do, it's been a while since I've invested this much time to any game yet alone an iPhone one. The last I can think of is Fallout 3. I answered my own question regarding the bank, I just started a new character and ran from the beginning of the game to Callihiem to find the bank was empty So your vault is only dedicated to each playthrough. Please help anyone have any suggestions for getting the seal to the Temple of Azra after losing it?
Is there's a full guide for this app? I've played many a rpg but never one this challenging. Barely have an idea what I'm supposed to do, and I've been playing all day!
