I'm trying to do Og and Ug's quests. I found Og first, who asked me to find Helga's Ring. Then I found Ug who doesn't want to talk about Helga's Ring, but only about killing Og. I don't want to do that until I've found Helga's Ring and completed Og's quest (whereupon I will kill him and keep the ring :D). So... Where the hell is the ring? Anyone...?

Technically no level cap, but you can't earn exp from low level enemies. Highest level thing you can kill is icefang, level 50

Ug has it. You can pickpocket him (but when I did, he attacked me afterward) for the ring, or kill him. Either way, your plan doesn't work, I don't think.

I just posted this in the main thread, but should have posted it here, I just realized.

Is Parry bugged? As a rogue, I have maxxed out the improved parry skill, and my parry is at 86%.

But I can't use Counterattack because I have not once, in the whole game, seen my character parry. What's the deal?

Fair enough. I do fancy that ring though. I don't think I can pickpocket him, cos I'm not a rogue (is that right?), so I'll have to fail Ug's quest. That seems odd to me...

I haven't used counterattack the whole game, and I'm a level 47 rogue. Eventually the fights won't last long enough for you to worry about it, but I'll check it out and see if it works for me.

Same problem here. Can't find any cooking fire yet. Anyone know where to find one?

There's a camp fire right at the very beginning of the game, just outside the first town you can use. It's conveniently right next to a fishing spot, no less, iirc.

I'm not positive about that though since the one I'm using is out in the desert by the smugglers right now.

There's one north of Callaheim on the western side of the map, right in front of a few tents with NPCs inside. (near the entrance to the mountain pass)

I've found backstab to be...problematic. It's hard to tell, sometimes, which directoin a mob is facing. And I really don't understand the stealth mechanic--sometimes you can sneak right up to a high level mob, other times a low level guy sees you from draw distance. Weird!

Anyway, I'm still getting worked over by guys who are about my level. And I sunk 6 points into parry stuff, just seems like a waste.

I guess I should say I like stealth and backstab when it works. It's hard to tell when you'll be seen or not.

How are you supposed to defeat the boss in the Temple of Azra?

I just used the pillar glitch after dying about a dozen times. His glowing orb attack thingy would kill me easily in one hit.

Which classes do you guys like the most?

I've only used Ranger but so far I'm finding melee just as effective as (if not more than) ranged attacks, even though I don't put points in the melee skills (power strike and the one that damages enemies when they attack you).
I'm always either using a bow, ambushing enemies one by one and always using fire arrows or regular melee attacks paired with the two lightning spells to keep stunning as much as possible.

I found that annoying too and died trying to kill him off with bow attacks.
I think you need to sneak in and close in on him. He only uses that outrageous spell from afar...or at least it seemed that way when I fought him.

If I remember correctly that spell does a fixed damage of 10k. There's no way you could survive that; so if he uses it, you must be fighting him wrong.

Counterattack is one of the greatest moves in the game as it leaves an enemy stunned which you can follow up with that one attack the does more damage on stunned enemies.
