it does look cool, but why announce it in april when we won't be seeing it until 2011? hype like this doesn't work on iPhone, except from Minigore, but that wasn't hype, just slow developing making a bare bones game in the time it would take you guys to make one fully fledged game.
I think they originally planned to be done with it a lot sooner. Then two things happened: 1) The game got a lot bigger 2) Aralon Unfortunately that's how it works with small indie developers (or big ones if you are talking about Gran Turisimo or anything Blizzard).
Production on Ultra Kid has never stopped. It slowed down a little, but we continue to make levels and other things, Russ has been working on the code the whole time. Just taking way longer than we thought it would.
That's why I like it when devs don't have a release date until the game has been submitted and approved because all sort of stuff can happen between then. Has the studio conjured up anything that is forum worthy yet Josh?
yes - I'm back on this project now! Hahaha A lot was done while I was away and now its time to put it together. Learned a lot from Aralon and there will definitely be stuff carrying over (tech wise and just knowledge, etc)
Hey Josh, I'm really looking forward to Aralon. I've also been following Ultra Kid. I understand that you are very busy, so I won't ask anything too complicated. But, I was wondering if you might have a ballpark idea of when Ultra Kid might be releasing? Perhaps first quarter 2011? Thank you for your time.
