Ive had my laptop for a few months now (call me dumb but all i know is it's a cisco laptop) , and for at least a month now, if i have over.. I think.. 3 windows, my computer overheats and shuts itself down... This happened yesterday 3 times and one of the times only 1 window was up.. And yes I had actually put books on the sides to elevate it. now I have an icepack under it.. Any comments or ideas on WHATS GOING ON?
Not a good processor, my old laptop used to do that all the time. Just get a laptop cooler, they're around 20 bucks.
I jumped onto the building in front of me, rolling onto the cement. I grabbed my knee in pain, as I had scraped it. I bit the bottom of my lip as I saw drops of blood drippig down. Suddnely I was pushed over, towards the edge of the building. The man I had been racing against pulled out his gun and aimed it at me. I shook my leg, in which he reacted by pointing the gun downwards toward my leg. I pushed myself forwards and swung my fist into the gun, and knocked it down. I jumped for it, and hit my elbow on the cement. I picked up the gun and aimed it at him. Instead of pulling the trigger I rammed myself foreward, and like a football player attempting a tack, I knocked the man down to the side of the building. He grabbed the side of the building with his hand, sweat rolling down his forehead. I had no plan of killing him. I tossed the gun into the distance, hoping it would break when it hit the ground. I continued to run and opened the door on the top of the building, facing stairs leading down to my goal. I grabbed the top of the ladder and started to climb my way down to the bottom. I went faster and faster towards the bottom until my hand slipped, and I fell backwards. The wind was pushing down on me fast and caused me to hit my head on the metal part of the ladder. I screamed in pain. I was nearing the ground and I had no choice except to accept my fate. I pushed the thought away and put my legs on one side of the wall and my arms on the other. Then I pushed. I slipped a bit down for a few moments and then I stopped. With one hand I quickly grabbed hold of the ladder and started to climb back down. When I had reached the bottom I walked into the dark eerie room. A tasted a cobweb in my mouth. I started to spit until I got it out. I wiped my mouth and neared a glowing box. It was a laptop. I inserted the cd and it started to open the file. Right as the window popped up, the screen went dim. The computer had overheated. I heard the man climbing down the ladder behind me. I was trapped. Oh and Aron, thanks I'll consider that.
I don't know what to say, that was the most random thing I had ever read until the last line which at least included the topic. But still I am so confused.
seriouspost get some air duster and blow it in whatever vents your laptop has, sounds like you're having thermal problems which could be the result of years of dust build up.
I have read many of them, but this one isn't really related to your "review", like in many others the "story" opening is related to the game. Either way, funny paragraph and you have an awesome writing style.
I just bought the laptop a few months ago from a store :\ Uhm, haha I basicly included the info part of the review in the OP. And, thanks.
if you just bought it, then there's probably some sort of warranty/return policy you can look into. either through the store or the laptop manufacturer. if it weren't a brand new computer, I would agree that there's probably crud preventing your fan from properly cooling the laptop.
Is this battle_born the band thing.. And I think im either getting a laptop cooler, or going to tear apart my laptop for the fan to see whats the problem *Only Kidding*
yup Battle Born is my band. I'd call the store right away and see what they'll do to fix the situation. the sooner the better. that way maybe they'll exchange it without you having to ship it to the manufacturer or anything. you paid for a new computer, it should work without all the hassle.
Again, all I know about it is it is a black cisco laptop with that q thing centered. :\ It has a microphone as well.
Look for any markings or labels identifyig the laptop and let us know so we could help. I've never heard of a Cisco laptop.... :s follow others' advice on shop warranty and have it replaced, or exchanged. Could you take a photo of it and upload to here or Flickr?
