Ad supported. The tutorial made it seemed promising. Jstorm Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2020 1,081 472 83 Male Employed Earth #2 Jstorm, Feb 15, 2021 The game title is actually UFO Enemy Known. You gave me a hope that the original UFO:EU became available on iOS, only to be disappointed. Also, actual title as JStorm said above is ENEMY KNOWN. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,765 550 113 England #5 psj3809, Feb 15, 2021 Yeah i'm staying away from this game as i think the names been used to trick people. I also thought maybe this is a cheap port/fan port of the classic game but nah squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,528 1,052 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #6 squarezero, Feb 15, 2021 The name struck me as mostly a joke (as in, the enemy is known because it’s you). Goes along with the overall tone of the game, which doesn’t take itself very seriously. In any event, the game is pretty legit, though it does have problems (for example, the first city is supposed to be Tokyo but it’s labeled as Moscow). You have multiple flying saucers that can be customized with new weapons and skins. There’s a variety of enemies (including a kaiju in the Tokyo map), and you can pick up energy and health drops as you flatten the city. It’s all a little coarse and janky, but it strikes me as one-developer labor of love rather than an attempted scam. By the way, most of what I remember of DAH is the saucer sections. Didn’t play the remake. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,765 550 113 England #7 psj3809, Feb 15, 2021 I don't mind clones at all and also they often have a play on words in the title, so i kinda was hoping this was a homage/clone/copy of the classic game as i've seen a few like that in the past. So yeah sorry didnt think it was a scam but yeah i thought it would be some homage or that squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,528 1,052 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #8 squarezero, Feb 15, 2021 There was a homage to the original PC XCOM on iOS that came out several years ago. I remember it being really tough — never made it past the first encounter. Update: just found it - Aliens vs Humans.
