Or even a similar ripoff because with Valve’s stubbornness it’s never gonna happen. And suddenly I found this. It has portals, the same colors, there’s even an editor. Sounds cool, right? And than on top of that it has beta build number displayed right on the welcome screen - in full release. It has no tutorial whatsoever. Just play and figure it out for yourself. Okay. After first few levels I realize it has multiple currencies, it has GACHA and my favorite - energy system. As a cherry on top it has fairly ugly UI and everything looks like a fun based project instead of a full game. There’s no story, just an editor you can create and play levels from other people. Not for me! Not for me at all. Deleted. After I’d played half a dozen or so levels and had had enough for now I’d refilled my energy from the after level rolls. Weird. You’re right about the general lack of polish for sure. I do want to try the editor as I’m a sucker for anything with user content. Not sure what the currencies are for; maybe it’s to restrict the editor. Hope not.
