Hey guys, I've got two questions: 1. I would really love to get Dead Space, but my iTunes account is from a country where the game isn't available. I'm reluctant to create another account for several reasons, but I was wondering whether it's possible for someone with a US-account to gift me the app and laugh at Apple, EA, the censorship or whoever is responsible for this misery. Anyone got experience with this? 2. My iDevice's clock somehow went 4 minutes ahead of time, I don't know why (isn't it supposed to check with internet?). Restarting didn't help and I don't really want to set it back to basics. Any tips? Thanks
1. Yes, someone could gift the app to you, but what would they get in return? And the reason Dead Space isn't in your country is that EA has decided not to let it be there. Apple or your country's censorship don't apply. 2. Go to Settings>General>Date and Time and somewhere will be the option to manually enter the time.
wow thanks, that was fast. I think one of my relatives abroad has got an iPhone, so gifting shouldn't be a problem. If he can't do it, I shall come back here and propose an app-exchange or something The thing with the clock was really simple, curse on my lazyness...
Y'know, it's usually the exact opposite. There are plenty of instances of gamers complaining to developers and asking why they won't release the game in their country and the reply is usually along the lines of: "Do you think we don't want your money? Blame your crappy government/local licensing issues."
