    Hello all.

I have JUST signed up to Twitter (still dont know anything about it LOL)

but I want a iPhone Twitter app ($.99 - $3.00) that has Tweets pushed like text messages.

I dont wanna have to go into the app to check Tweets. What can you recommend?

    Thank

Be aware that Simplytweet only pushes @replies and DMs to your iphone and not just standard tweets from your timeline.

Maybe get a free app like twitterfon and invest in Boxcar. This acts purely as a push for your @replies and DMs at present, but if/when v2.0 is release you can buy in-app (for a one off fee of $0.99 the option to have all tweets pushed to your iphone. Google Boxcar 2.0 for further information.

Oh, and find me on twitter @trevainsworth

I got twitbird pro a couple of days ago when it went free for a day. So far I like it. It's got a neat interface, has push notifs too along with multiple accounts and in built browser to check out any links you see in Twitter feeds without leaving the app. Don't know how it holds up against other Twitter apps as this is the only one I've used in a long long time. But for a free app I'm extremely satisfied with it :D

if you have a mac, you should get growl, then every growl notification is sent straight to your phone (easily customizable) then install like Twitteriffic or something that has Growl notifications.. Good luck!

Yea the ways listed above are probably the best (I know there is something like Prowl which is an iPhone growl iirc). However one thing I've read is there won't be native push because of the way the Twitter API is coded doesn't support it. It could be changed but for the time being that's the last I heard about push twitter. Trust me I'd love it without workarounds :p

I use Twitterific for the Twitter client and also IM+ which can be used to push any DM's etc to your phone. These two working together are really nice.
