Haha... If you manage to post one video at the same time every week, that would be pretty cool actually lol
Wow, it's really good to see you all so enthousiatic on Twin Blades. Press Start team is working hard to achieve the best zombie game
This looks great but the gameplay seems really reptitive. It's the same hit over and over again. Maybe add some more attack animations or combos?
The animations look a whole lot better than from similar games such as zombieville, inkvaders or red rage (i dunno if that's actually it and i'm too lazy to check xP)
Looks great but seems kinda repetitive.needs enough variety--different playing environment, weapons, different modes of attacks and movement sticks are rather small. Also noticed one thing---the main character doesn't move far but stays ard. the same place.
Not yet ;-). What can be really interesting for us is to know what you are waiting for in a zombie killer game. (It doesn't mean it will be in the game from the release but we can deceide for updates )
Hmmm... okay well, from the video the game seems more like a survival game, which is fine. But it can be a bit boring. So maybe spliting it up into levels, or have a 1v1 street fighter like battles for boss fights would be cool. The boss could be this huge creature (more than the height of the screen) and you have to somehow use the environment to climb your way to the top and attack its weak points. Making the environment more interactive would also be cool. For example, one of the scenes could be at a junk yard so there would be a huge pile of tires and what not in the middle of the fighting area, so you can position yourself at the top and fight enemies that come from below you, but at the same time fend off enemies that come over the tire mountain from the other side. Some tires could also be bouncy enough to give you a trampoline like effect. This idea of making the environment interactive could be extended to other scenes and in fact, each scene could be designed centered on a particular interaction (junkyard will be full of trampoline like tires, or a mountain area where you have to jump from cliff to cliff to avoid falling down, etc).
I think we don't need to compare, as we have totally different background between tap-fu and Twin Blades. I agree Tap-Fu is an excellent game, I personnally bought it and I am really happy to play. Twin Blades is going to be an excellent Zombie killer for Christmas
As promised I add new game screenshots following the new version we just received We hope you enjoyed ;-) More to come shortly!
Wow... Thanks for the screens.. I thought the gameplay video was pretty good, the screens are even better
We'll be waiting And btw, I love how you put an actual heart instead of an emoticon on the top right of the UI lol Nice touch
Ah well, on behalf of the whole team I'd like to thank you guys for your comments, not only is it heartwarming to see people like our game but you provide some nice food for thoughts which is great. It seems some of you have concerns about the repetitiveness of the animations, rest assured the video show very little of the game and there is a lot of stuff which remains to be revealed. I'm not going to spoil the pleasure of finding out in the next videos tho so stay tuned for (a lot) more very soon!
Hello Phil, and Welcome to TA. and dont worry about those comments about gameplay, I am sure the game will be great!
