I'll probably end up watching it sooner or later with my gf. With Kristen Stewart in it, it's not that bad. I would do dirty, nasty, unimaginable things to her..... *cough* But yeah, it's not a movie you go to for good acting, or a good story. IMO of course, I'm not going to judge those who like it, I probably like a few crappy movies for whatever reason as well.
The books were some of the worst crap written. I base that on reading the first few pages of Twilight, and others with stronger stomachs than I who read the whole series said it didn't get any better. VAMPIRES DON'T EFFIN' SPARKLE!! Now, if you'll excuse me while i go read about vampires the way they're supposed to be, nasty, blood suckin' creatures.
roflmao! sitting alone, rocking back and forth, in the handicapped seat, what an image! i got dragged to the first one with my gf and she also basically made me buy the book for her (*forgot* her purse when we were at Barnes & Nobles) but luckily she didn't like the movie.. phew. feel like i dodged a major bullet. my condolences to you... maybe her and her sister need some '1 on 1 time to catch up'?

I'm not surprised at some of the reactions from the young teen males who seem to be a bit insecure. Yes, the Twilight Saga is worshipped by a lot of teen girls BUT also a lot of women of all ages. It is not a female thing either, I know guy friends who dig the movie too. I don't see anything wrong with it either. So what, what's the big deal? Vampires are an alluring topic to a lot of people period. I'm not a hardcore fan at all, I did like the first one, it was entertaining, not a great movie but hey it was ok. I don't pay attention to others or critics, if I am going to see a movie, I'm gonna see it regardless and make up my OWN mind whether it's a good movie or not. I heard mixed reviews on it, I usually wait until movies come to DVD so I think I am going to wait. I rarely see movies in the theatres now.
I'm not a huge fan of Twiight... if you want to read the new Twilight, I suggest reading The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. Those are books I know both guys and girls love, and it's definitely very Twilight-ish. I haven't seen Twilight yet, but the trailer looks very cheesy, and the graphics and acting seem pretty poor. It doesn't look like a lot of money went into making this movie, and I speak for the guys when I say, "I'm tired of Taylor Lautner."
idk hunger games didnt seem realistic enough for me. All this stuff always happened to her. I found it annoying since that NEVER happens in real life. Ya know? it feels like everything was provided to her and she didnt have to anything that involved thinking.

I think of Twilight as a gigantic fashion runway for tweens/teens where the models roleplay as vampires and werewolves. Did it piss me off? Yes. Does it still piss me off? Eh, a little but not as much. It's just annoying when a girl will blow a perfectly fine guy cuz of her obsession over Twilight. I've seen so many crash and burns lately.
