I second that. All it is is little fan girls drooling over a FICTIONAL vampire & werewolf

    Yep pretty much.

*Omg whats-his-face is so hot! I wish I was a vampire!*

    [/facepalm]

Twilight feels like nothing more than another Harry Potter. Don't get me wrong, I liked the HP books when I was little, but at least those movies are/were semi-entertaining. Twilight is pure garbage.

I don't drool over them and I am not a girl, I just like the movie and the book series. It can me a little overdramatic but it isn't that bad. My GF hates it and it was actually her fault that I got into reading it.

LOL, when I saw the trailer for the first movie, I seriously thought that it was a spoof of dracula; so I went to watch it. It was just horrible, not laughably bad, just plain bad.

[*]Crappy story/absence of plot - seriously, a romantic, vegetarian vampire that glitters in the sunlight; I thought dracula set the basic rules for vampires (i.e. melting in the sunlight, bloodthirsty and terrofying creatures, SCARY, etc); in Twilight, they glitter in the sunlight. Also, they basically had absolutely nothing going on for most of the movie, and then they built up suspense (not very good suspense though, just that something was eminently going to happen) for a while and then it all ended in a few minutes.
[*]VERY corny - You'll just have to watch it to see how bad it is.

I don't think I'll watch the sequel; and the trailer also makes that movie look like a spoof.

Seriously dude, how old are you? Have they dropped yet? This movie is definitely for pubescent teenagers, though some emotionally immature women seem to like the books/movies as well.

Watched the first movie, it's the worst movie I've seen since 'Open Water'. The acting is awful, as is the direction. Nothing happens for ages, the movie just tries to slowly build up tension with bad acting, long lingering looks of the two leads as they deal with their angst and problems.

But I guess I'm not in this movie's/book's targeted demographic; I'm a male adult who has successfully gone through puberty and I'm not an emotionally immature woman who needs to experience via proxy what they never did in their teenage years.

Well, excuse my manhood intelligence. I am 20 and part time college student. You question me because you think a man should do "man" things. I'm pretty sure you went all crazy over a game, even at whatever age you are. I get excited because I have passion for it. I liked the movie. I agree tha some girls are fan crazy but you yourself is kind of a sexist. Should Twilight be condemned because some people like you hate it so much that you have to point out dumb, useless facts?

Enjoying this movie is not a reflection on masculinity but on emotional intelligence.

And actually my degree is in psychology, and when I talk to adult females who are 'in love' with the character of Edward it becomes apparent they do indeed have problems with their emotional development. My comments are not sexist, but informed by experience. I guess you're obviously not interested in human nature, otherwise you would find this interesting,

Yes Twilight should be condemned, the movie is awful and from what I've read of the books, they are poorly written.

Forgot to say that, no I do not think men should do 'men' things. But I do think it's useful for society if it's inhabitants are emotionally mature and developed.

It's okay if you're gay dude. Admit it, and let's move on.

Dude, I'm not gay LOL But I do support gay rights. And how does this really relate?

    @Rozzwell
Good for you. I do care for human nature. I believe you have some kind of psychological dilemma towards these Twilight fans... You hate the movie, you are entitled to your opinions.

And men will be immature at times. You can't change that, unless you want a person to be like a "robot."

Let's just stay on topic. I don't want to argue, is that ok? You're right about those things. Again, you hate the movie and I like it, let's just leave it at that.

I went to see the first movie, personally, i think it was ok, not terrible as many made it out to be, but not brilliant either.
Some ppl might bash this movie because they think its all girly and immature. But i think most ppl just dont think Twilight deserved all that success.
But whatever, im lucky that my gf isnot girly type hahha :D

It doesn't have a lot to do with being girly in my opinion. My GF is very girly and women I know around my age group, in their mid to late 20s and early 30s, find nothing particularly interesting in the Twilight series. It basically hits on that tween female age group who needs to develop and mature more in life. For that segment Twilight feeds off their skewed view of dark and mysterious relationships (can you imagine a more awkward time than being a tween) with males who are also kind and sensitive much like female porn stars feed off of the male skewed view of a woman being totally slutty, big boobed and blonde.

As soon as I get back to the USA I'm going to see this! I thought the first one was pretty decent. I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about.

I was forced to see it last year with my gf, and her sister. We were in NH in a small ass theatre that was nearly sold out. We couldn't sit together, and the only seat I could find was a handicapped chair set awkwardly away from the safety and anonymity of the main rows. So there I was sitting all alone in a chair which conveniently rocked back and forth, watching this horribly gay movie, apparently by myself. To the average observer, I would have appeared as a mentally retarded rocking twilight fan....as far as the movie goes, it really is awful...sorry Hodapp. I mean I felt like I was watching a made for tv movie. Here's the worst part.....my gf and I are again going to NH at the exact time of year, and lo and behold, a new twilight movie to see,.....FML:(
