I've been trying for a while to get the full version of Honey Tribe under. 24mb was the best I got so far. But in the end it seemed impossible without compromising the game. So I put all the higher quality images in for the 1.1 update. So now its about 35mb! I wonder if we'll figure out who the new Yemi is... he must be a master of disguises...
Hey Shaz, if you got the full version down to 24 then it's worth pushing for that magic 20. Have you tried vbr for music and pvrtc for non-alpha? The store has been down for me last 12 hours, I look forward to trying your app! Edit: pvrtc can look very 16bit so use with caution.
Yeah you're probably right, I should have another go at it. Thanks for the tips Bugger! The UK app store has been down for the last hour too! I can only assume the surge in demand created by our lite version has caused their electrical systems to overheat and explode.
I thought Apple had already licensed these patents and is saying that Lodsys is wrong to approach developers because they are already covered by Apple's rights.
Yep, that's what they (naturally) say. Hopefully they are right about it. It could become quite a long battle, though - except for those patents of Lodsys which expire as soon as next year (if I remember correctly).
