We have had quite a few requests to remember your previous park. We might do that. Not sure about a shuffle option, but it is an interesting idea. Hadn't thought of that before.

Yeah thought about it just yesterday. I realized that I play the first skatepark the most, just because it loads by default

Finally decided to save up for a new deck. The deck design is now on the top edges of the board. I even used the template :( any way to of preventing this? [IMG]

Any way true axis will release a list of gaps ever?

I am not sure if our template is quite accurate enough to prevent that or not. It wasn't something we noticed our selves until somebody complained, and it took a very long time before anybody complained, so we are not in a huge hurry to try and fix this. The fix will not be that easy for us, although, we are making some changes in that area for some coming updates, so we should probably consider what we can do.

Yes! We got sick about people asking us for this and have added a way to unlock gap lists in the next update.

How come my achievements and high scores (both in-game and in game center) are completely wrong? I have completed all the achievements and my highest line is much more than 12k...

I think game center has been broken for a quite while, but compared to anything else, we get very few complaints about that. If we fix it, I want to make sure we spend the time to fix it properly, but it always seems we have an endless todo list. As for the achievements, it has been a very long time since i have looked at that. How completely are they broken?

    True Skate vs. Skater

I shared this on the Reddit True Skate forum, thought I'd post it here as well - regarding the new game Skater that was just released.

If you really enjoy the realism aspect of True Skate, I would let you know that this game is similar to Touch Grind, unfortunately for me.

I bought it and played for an hour last night. I won't be playing it again. I can't stand the way the game is always doing ollies/nollies without me intending to - since an ollie is performed by tapping the nose/tail, instead of swiping, the timing feels off and unnatural. And I can't stand the 'auto-lock in' of grinds/slides, I appreciate True Skate more than ever.

Seriously, True Skate is amazing - the absolute control of the board, with a smooth sense of time, and the consistency of your momentum/direction, it is so realistic and satisfying.

Their graphics look great, and the parks are awesome - I was hoping they would piggyback on what True Skate had accomplished with their physics engine.

All I can say is that I would pay good money to have additional courses in True Skate right now - and at the same time, I am satisfied and challenged with the 9 skate parks I have to choose from - I keep finding new lines and ideas, and the game becomes even more fun when you know a park like the back of your hand, you can anticipate better lines and get some really satisfying runs.

    But I want more!

One of the reasons we made True Skate was that I thought that most teams would struggle to match our level of physics coding experience. I have written so many physics engines used on so many games I have no idea how many. I've also coded so many control systems for so many games i can't remember. We kind of messed up with the ollie height, which was dumb, and forgot to compensate for somebody lifting there legs and slamming them back down, but that is all available in realistic mode now. However, I think the level of interaction you can do with the deck in True Skate is still a long way beyond any other game I have seen at this point. Also we are still working on improving that. There are a bunch of physics things I hope we can find the time to improve one day. Actually, the next update will have some improvements. (I suppose to be fair, True Skate has come a long way since the first release)

We released 7 courses in around 7 months this year, and have slowed down with that now.

Slowing down the number of parks coming it is giving us some more time to do some other things that have been a long time coming. Expect a bunch of new features to be coming soon.

There are more courses coming as well. We are moving on to the 2014 SLS courses next. We should have 2 out this year.

For early next year, we a new True Axis design park which is already in development, and the final 2014 SLS park, and we are looking into a couple other things to get the variety up. Ether some more real world locations or some more True Axis designed parks. So much is going on here though it is a bit hard to predict exactly how things will pan out.

Am looking to transfer all game data and settings from one iPhone to another.

I've restored the new phone from a back up of the old phone but have lost my deck customisations.

Is there a way to do this?

    Many thanks

Looking forward to some new true axis parks! Also I kinda wish you guys did add the stomping mechanic in normal mode. Maybe some more ways to spend true credits:rolleyes:

Sorry, I missed this earlier. We have no way to transfer deck customization. We where a bit worried about uploading the image to iCloud due to size restrictions, although, perhaps we should consider making it an option.

After all, turning on iCloud seems to cause all your photos to be shared with out explicitly asking if you want that. (Unless It was because I have to set up so many devices I start skipping past all the warning messages)

    Quick Hops

    Hey True Axis,

I wanted to request another improvement to the game's mechanics - at least in the realism mode: It should take a moment after landing on ollie/air before another ollie can be performed. I've been noticing a lot of the Kamcord videos are like this - landing on a rail/ledge and immediately hopping off to the next object/rail, etc. And it annoys me in my own sessions - it is simply not realistic that someone could land and IMMEDIATELY be able to ollie again. In real life, you need to land, compress, then ollie again - the best skaters can do it quickly, but not instantly.

I'm guessing you know what I mean, and perhaps this is one of the improvements you mentioned - while it may make some cool lines harder or impossible, it will be way more realistic and satisfying if the game forces you to wait a split second before performing another ollie.

    Thanks, love this app!

My personal request for realistic mode would be to increase the default height of pops by just a hair, but remove that awkward slide forward to increase Ollie height. You can really only use that method for Ollies and maybe kickflips, but nothing else can be popped high enough. For example, on a decent height flat ledge it would be really difficult to do a shove 50-50, but relatively easy to do even a double flip 50-50.

Shared this on Twitter the other day but forgot to put it here. My little TA deck :)

If anyone else wants the images, I put them in dropbox along with some other Girl board graphics I'd been using.

Nice. I don't skate in real life. Where did you get that anyway?

Very nice! I think I am going to go ahead and use it. I really like the grip tape.

This is probably wayy out there, but it would be cool to see a skate shop hub where you can purchase preset decks

I've thought about that quite a few times, as it might help solve a couple bugs that keep coming back as well, but I am really nervous that a lot of people will really love that feature and be upset if we remove it.

We are adding a turn glitches on option though. Kamcord has shown us some exploits we where not aware of, such as pushing diagonally can give you a lot of extra speed. The glitches option will allow us to fix issues like that, but still let people who liked them turn them back on.

I think we disused the possibility of making that change in this thread before. We will consider that for the next update, but this is looking like it might be a really massive update. We are a bit behind schedule though, so I am not sure what we might end out dropping out for later.

One small thing I have already mentioned to some people that will be in this update is complete trick and gap lists which can be unlocked by spending TC.

There will also be new trick detection, and maybe even support for tricks.

The are also some big things coming that we haven't really said anything about yet.
