    Hi TotallyMichael!

I always use two fingers when playing true skate as I use one for each foot. One pops and one flicks, just like on a board. I'm not sure I understand how your method would work. Although I definitely understand how a spin button wouldn't work for big spins etc.

Currently you cannot pop with two fingers on the board. Leave your front finger on and swipe the tail. Nothing will happen. Instead of that doing absolutely nothing, I think it would make sense to just allow that to control body rotation. Instead of adding an awkward button off to the side, we might as well take advantage of that since it's currently not doing anything. So basically, if a front finger is touching the board when you swipe the tail, it should rotate your body in the direction that it would normally do a shuv. If you take your front finger off before swiping the tail it should rotate the board as it currently does. This way you can accurately and realistically control the direction and speed of the body rotation just as you can with a shuv. Here are some examples.

    Backside flip vs. Varial flip

BS Flip: front finger touching the board, swipe the tail down/left, the camera/body starts rotating (speed dependent on how fast you swiped the tail), instantly flick front finger like a normal kickflip. This could easily be turned into a blizzard flip by swiping the tail harder.

Varial flip: no front finger touching board, swipe tail down/left, instantly flick front finger (exactly how it's done today)

    Big flip vs. 360 flip

Big flip: front finger touching board, swipe down/left on tail, camera/body starts rotating, instantly swipe down/left on tail and like a normal kickflip with front finger. (Basically after the initial swipe to start rotating the body you'd just do a varial flip exactly as it's done today)

360 flip: exactly how it's done today.

    360 vs. 360 shuv

360: front finger touching board, swipe down/left on tail, camera/body rotates.

360 shuv: no front finger touching board, swipe down/left on tail, board rotates.

Is this clear enough? It's pretty simple really. If two fingers are detected on the board at the moment of the initial pop, body/camera rotates. If only one finger is detected on the board at the time of the initial pop, board rotates (just how it works today).

Edit: And if it wasn't obvious, with the current physics system, touching a finger onto your board when midair will instantly push your board down. So with this method of having your front finger on for the initial pop to rotate your body, as soon as you pop you'd need to either instantly swipe your front finger for a flip trick, or just take it off for a 180/360. Otherwise you'd just instantly push your board back down to the ground.

That seems to make sense. Would you have to keep your finger on the board to keep rotating? My concern is the difference between bs 360 kickflip and big flip. If you have to wait until 180+ degrees before releasing your front finger and then flicking, it is going to feel very late and unlike a bs 360 kickflip.

No, you take the front finger off as soon as you pop. Just like a shuv, the harder you swipe, the faster you spin. You'd basically swipe exactly how you would to do a 360 shuv to 360. Same with a 180, you'd swipe exactly how you would to do a normal shuv. The only difference being the front finger touching as you swipe.

totallymichael, it might be good to have some more details on this slow down, how often it occurs, and how long the slow down is for. It might also be interesting to know if it occurs if you are offline or/and if you have iCloud disabled. It wouldn't surprise me if air play did help cause some slow downs.

Either way, we have already done some work on fixing up the sound missing problem for replays, although the replay sound will never be exactly the same as the live sound.

As for your suggestion about how to trigger body spins, I totally understood what you meant the first time, and it is an interesting idea, and I can see some benefits too it, some of which you pointed out, however, it is not that easy to implement into our code, and holding down a button on the side is actually very easy to use, you quickly forget you are pressing something, and it gives really good control over what is happening, such as, you can choose to stop your body spinning early. (Not quite 100% realistic, but some how it reminds me of the feeling of doing a big spin on my blades where my head would spot the landing and fix on it while my body kept spinning and I could stick my arms out to slow down.) We can also make it so it you can start holding the button a little after take off. A button is also much easy to explain to people.

Anyway, give what we do a go first as see how it goes.

Can we get the ability to change the camera setting while in the replay viewer? :)

Also, tricks are registering incorrectly sometimes it's added or removing the flip portion. I.e. A varial flip becomes a nightmare or a shove it.

Another little comment, I REALLY like that you can go under the flat rails at the top of the Street League park. Why can't we on other rails?! I want to do hippie jumps!

I'm pretty sure I narrowed it down to Airplay. I realized I could send audio only to Reflector so I tried that and never once saw a slow down after over an hour. I turned it back onto mirroring the screen and the slow down happened within five minutes. So my workaround currently is to record the audio first, then afterward set it to mirror the screen and record the replay, and edit them together in Premiere. I have Facebook connected and I'm pretty sure I have iCloud enabled.

I tried everything possible to restore the two parks I purchased, but I still can't play it.... So sad as this is clearly one of my favourite games, I'd love to purchased all the parks, but what's the point if I can't play them.

Have you tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling/restore purchases button in the options?

What are the best skateparks in this game? I bought the newest one (a bit small) and the schoolyard and I am thinking about getting one more

The SLS park is pretty much made for Realistic Mode. I actually just turned it off to see and it's just hilarious. Trying to hit the long double set ledge and I kept clearing the whole thing.

Personally, I think Double Infinity is great. It's huge and has a bit of everything. Lots of flow.

Yeah I love it for realistic mode. I wish they'd come out with more for this mode. Some of the ledges and rails on other maps are just too big for realistic.
