Very nice, reminds me of parts of the Skate 1 school yard. So bought. I really like the outdoor parks a lot more than the indoor ones.

The new park is awesome! It has great flow, awesome hips/rails, and feels like it has tons of creative lines to be explored.

I understand why people don't like in-app purchases on some games, but this game is done right - very reasonable price for the basic game and an awesome park, and then just $1 for each new park - each of which offers hours and hours of sandbox play.

There is an awesome thrill when entering the new park for the first time, I just push around and check everything out before doing any tricks, just like I would in real life - that's why I love this game so much, it really brings out my imagination and makes me feel like I'm skating, not just playing some game.

Keep up the great work, looking forward to exploring the infinity and seeing what you guys have in store next!

Luke, I experienced an error with the new park. When I unlocked the gap that should have been Rail to Rail 4b, it was entered in my gap book as Rail to Rail 4a. So now I have two Rail to Rail 4a in my gab book.

This is my favorite park, I wish you could choose what park the game opens to.

THIS. I've heard a few people ask for this, I'm curious to hear form Luke if it's something that would be possible.

This park is getting good feedback so far. I guess it is my favorite too, although, I like the others for different reasons.

Well spotted, it is a simple text mistake and I just fixed it ready for the next update.

I'm starting to consider loading to the last park more seriously now as more people request it. The only thing is that we cant change the start up screen, so we will ruin our nice transition, but, maybe it is worth it. We never really thought this would be much of an issue in practice because we assumed that the game would never be shut down for most people, but It seems quite a few people complain about this.

I don't have a choice about the game being shut down, my iPod Touch 5 shuts it down any time I use another app.

I've always thought changing the load-up park would be nice but it's only recently that I've been feeling a real need for it as we get more and more parks. I assumed you wouldn't implement this due to your nice intro, but if you can find a way it would be very appreciated.

So, after hosing my profile on True Skate last week, I switched over to Touchgrind 2 (which I've really enjoyed). As a non-skater, that game helped me understand how and why tricks work better than a year of True Skate.

That being said, releasing a new park enticed me back over (I'm trying to decide if there is room in my life for two skateboarding apps; I usually only have one of any type of game at a time). Since playing True Skate again, I've found that I am actually performing tricks better because I understand them more. And I realized how nice it is to only need a thumb to play a game.

Love the new park. I'll 15th the thing about picking a different starting location. And I would still love to see Game Center get some love. Keep it up!

A suggestion/request I have is that when I go to the gap book, if there could be some kind of indicator as to which gap I had just unlocked, or most recently unlocked. When I get a new gap I always go there to find the name and it's just a string of mostly generic gap names, and I never know which one I just found. That's always bugged me.

That is interesting. From out point of view, some of us real skaters, Touchgrind tricks have little in common with real skateboarding, and is more of a game then a sim. With True Skate you can watch a you tube video to see how to do a trick then copy the foot action with your fingers to try to rotate the board the same way. To me touchgrind seemed to work off gesture recognition, while True Skate uses a swipe physics system. You can do a lot of tricks in True Skate which the game hasn't even been programmed for. Unfortunately, that means the trick names are often a bit wrong in those cases.

Our mission system could definitely do with more improvements.

We are just adding dolphin flips for the next update, and that is going to fix up a lot of wrong trick names.

    Hold the reset button.

I've thought about that problem. I've always had the idea of extending the gap system a bit to get around these kinds of issues, but I am not sure when we might eventually do something about it. Might keep your idea in mind.

I could always be wrong, as I am not a skater. I guess it just seemed like I could do what I was trying to do more easily in Touchgrind, which may be your point as well (the difference between an "input this action to do this-game" and a physics system. As more gamer than skater, the other approach made more sense to me.

That being said, I decided I only have room for one skateboarding app, and you win (There is room for one skateboarding app without a skater and one skateboarding app with Tony Hawk's name on it, though :D). I think I like how there are so many missions just sitting there for me to fail at, whereas I had basically completed all objectives in Touchgrind within a week. Sort of an achievement safety blanket. But I'm a weird gamer anyway, so don't put too much stock in my opinions. I swore off landscape mode games.

Which thing were you talking about here? I held the in-game reset button, and it gave me the option to reset the session marker. I was talking about where you start when the app boots up from being totally closed. And if you were talking about Game Center, it did nothing. Still broke.

Sorry, most people usually ask for the game to remember the last map you where on at start up.

We also get a lot of people asking to be able to set the reset position.

Really love this game, and all the new parks have been great and well-worth additions.

One thing has been bugging me recently, and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this: since one of the recent patches, if I'm trying to do a trick with a spin and a flip, the trick name gets messed up if I don't start the flip immediately after I get off the ground. For example, I'm going for a 360 flip so I start my shove-it and flick the board again to flip it. If I don't get this going absolutely immediately, it'll register as a 360 inward heelflip instead of a 360 flip. Minor annoyance, I know, but it can really make some missions difficult.

It could be that you have chanted your action a little and are actually doing a dolphin 360 flip by accident.

If you try a varial flip, but you accidentally push the nose down too much causing the board flip forwards, you can easily end up doing dolphin flip instead of a varial flip. Unfortunately, the game doesn't know about dolphin flips, and it will call it a hard flip.

A dolphin heal flip is miss named inward heal.

The next update of the game will have dolphin flips with various doplhin flip variations added.

I think it's because when the board gets around past 90 degrees any flips are now registered the opposite way. So if I try a varial kickflip but don't start my flip until the board gets past that 90 degree mark, it'll register as a heelflip instead and the trick will be named an inward heelflip.

I am absolutely loving these new parks. I'd have to agree that Double Infinity is my new favorite. The curved ledges are so much fun and it just seems to flow really nicely. You're putting out parks faster than I can make videos! I just now finished one for the Warehouse. Can't wait to start on Double Infinity. Here it is, if anybody's interested.

    True Skate: Warehouse Wheelin'

And, Luke, I forgot, but was there one more map coming out or was that it?
("was that it" sounds worse than it should. ONLY 3 brand new maps in a little over a month?! Ha)

Awesome video, man. I'm inspired! I appreciate you sharing, it gives me some new ideas and makes me want to get in there and try to land some of the tricks in your video. I wish it was easier to capture/upload video, I bet it's fun to try to get cool lines nailed like that on video.

    Can't wait for the in-game ability to record/playback tricks/lines.

Thanks a bunch, man. It's definitely fun! Sometimes it can get a bit stressful (which is kind of hilarious), but the payoff is always worth it. It's pretty common for me to get stuck on a certain trick for over an hour just cause I'm not 100% satisfied with the landing or how it looked overall. If you're interested in capturing videos, I use a sweet app (Mac/PC) called Reflector that lets me send my screen to my PC just like Airplay. I used to use FRAPS to record it from there, but lately I've been having the least amount of issues using Nvidia's ShadowPlay. It's only a 10% performance hit compared to FRAPS' 40%. Also Reflector has a built-in way to record. I've just noticed that I get the highest framerate using ShadowPlay.
