It is possible we might stage the release, but it would be safe to expect something in January. Maybe even early Jan.
Sorry if this issue has been addressed previously, but everytime I try to swirch Skateparks, I just end up frozen on a black screen. Is there any way to fix this?
Luke, have you done any optimizing of performance for iPod Touch 5 with the new update? Last time I asked, you said you had hired someone who'd be working on that. It could be a bit smoother, gets choppy briefly now and then. Looking forward to the new parks, I'll buy them all.
We've just submitted the update. There will be one new level. A school yard, and about a million other improvements. Taken from our facebook page where we where talking about this: - New scoring system for lines where each separate grind increases the score multiplier, and the first flip trick after a grind increase the multiplier. (Multipliers where based only on score before) - User challenges through facebook added to iOS. (Challenge system updated on Android to allow unlimited attempts, same as JCS2) - Leaderboards with Replays added to iOS. - Hanging board exploit fixed and fresh leaderboard tables for android. (Fixed various score exploits on iOS) - Improved grinds on lips. Been having so much fun with this one! Vert grinds could still be better. - Swipe sensitivity option added to iOS. Default sensitivity is lower then before. - Holding an ollie before maximum height on the way to a grind will limit ollie height. - Pushing forward on an ollie will allow you to jump rails rather then stomp down on them. - Improved camera for entering transitions. - Improved dropping in to transitions. - Fixed bug where you could get a big boost by doing an ollie down low on vert when going up. (Some people may miss this exploit, it will be harder to get up speed on vert now) - Anti-aliasing added on some newer devices for smoother graphics.
I can't even remember what happened with that now. Infact, that totally contradicts something I was just told. I might have to get Andy to chime in on that one.
I did a lot of Opengl optimising for Jet Car Stunts 2 which will be brought across to the new True Skate update. I've just done a build of True Skate on the iPod 5 and it runs pretty smooth. I did inform Luke today that the new build was not as smooth as the store version at the moment but I just realised that I was looking at a debug version. The build I'm looking at now is a release build and it seems fine to me. Also, the new build has multi-sampling turned on on devices that can handle it, including the iPod 5.
I think that setting the sensitivity to full means no change. You really don't have to play for long to get used to a different value though. It doesn't affect max ollie height or anything, but can give you more control for smaller ollies and slower flips with a lower sensitivity.
