Work has been delayed on that. We are planning to delay the release of new parks for a while then release a bunch in quick succession later in the year.
Have you thought about doing famous skate spots? Wallenberg, el toro, gonz gap, etc? They'd be easy to create and you could sell them in packs!
Yes, I am not sure of the legalities of that though. It is something we may look into at some point, but for now we will continue making our own designs.
I vote for another outdoor park. I really like the indoor one but it has a closed in feel, and variety is good.
Switch stances I ride goofy footed. Please add an option to change stances. It drives me crazy when in my head I'm doing one trick and it calls it the opposite trick.
You can turn off trick names in the options. It's the best method for us goofy skaters at the moment. :/
Whatta you know, I've never been able to get this game to icloud sync between iPad 4 and iPhone 3GS. I just bought an iPod Touch 5 and the first time I started up True Skate on it, it asked if I wanted to use icloud. When I said yes, it appears to have synced to my iPad 4 save file.
Yeah. I've subsequently found that other games that hadn't been syncing previously, are now working properly between the iPad and iPod Touch. Obviously the 3GS was the problem, still doesn't make complete sense because a few apps had been syncing before, but only a few. Update, icloud is working the other way as well, with iPod Touch's save file being synced back onto the iPad. This is great.
I just heard the walled garden weekly episode where they talk about this game, basically hating on it because it's not like tony hawk. love that show, but they really missed the mark on this one.
Although, tony hawk was a good game, and enjoyed playing it, I always thought it missed the mark as far as skateboarding goes. True Skate is probably a bit the opposite. More of a sim then a game. But, it we will keep updating it.
Any time frame on the new parks? Last thing you said was "later in the year" which sounds like fall to me. That's so far away!
Bought the game on the release date and i dont play it much anymore, i only played the new map once. I got frustrated with the freemium style system with the points. You recieve so little and the items cost sooooo much its ridiculous.
It might depend on how we go with Jet Car Stunts 2. I really want to be heavily involved in the design of the new parks my self, but have been busy going over all the Jet Car Stunts 2 levels my self. Getting towards the end of that now though. I might take a brake to do a small True Skate update. We are also trying to see if we can get another coder to join which might free me up for more design work. Once we have some park layouts designed we can out source the hard work of making it look beautiful. Maybe something like October or November might be possible. Probably we could do a lot better to balance those points, but I think you can earn them quite quickly with a high scoring line. Surprised to hear you only played the new level once though, I've heard some other people say they prefer it. Anyway, we will be a little slow on the updates for a while, but we do have plenty of plans and things in progress. We do have lots of big plans for the future.
I've added the below image to the first post. It is an updated template image for skateboard customization. I'm not sure how it turned out that the there is so much empty space around the edge. I was careful to make sure as much of the image was used during testing, but something must have gone wrong at some point.
I've never thought of this as a freemium style game at all. I wouldn't change anything. I'd love any new updates to the game if you have the time. I like the new park, it has more to do and it's just nice to have a new place to fool around in, but I like the look of the original one better just in terms of the setting and visuals. I would like more outdoor parks. Thanks for the updated template. I had previously complained about the look of custom grip tape but I take that back, it looks good with darker images and I had been using lighter ones. It also helps that I upgraded to a retina screen, that made a big difference.
