I got gold on all the missions for the first park. It's invaluable for learning how to pull off more tricks. Think of it more as "training" than missions...
I mostly just skate around doing kick flips down stair sets and some grinds (real'ish stuff) but I do a mission now and then, I haven't done them all as some of the tricks I just can't pull off consistently. One missions comes to mind, on the first park it's a board slide to board slide with a heel flip in between and afterwards. Just can't do it no matter how many times I tried, That's why this game is great though, there's just so much to do even if your just skating around.
@Luke Just bought your game and it's really fun. Not much of a skateboarder, so getting the hang of the game but it's different and I like the challenge. One question: is there a quicker way to set session markers? Unless I missed something, the only way is to pause the game, go to help & options, then go to options, then scroll down to set session markers. It's a trivial pet peeve, but I was just wondering if there is a faster way or if you're planning on just putting session markers options right on the main pause menu (what I'd prefer)?
We do have a new park in the design phase, but there will probable be quite a delay before that, it is going along very slowly in the back ground. The release of the new level has done ok, so we plan to try to release a bunch of levels. There will be at least a few months delay for the next one, but other that, I am hoping to find a way to release 1 each month or so for a while, or something like that. Otherwise, what we choose to release in the next updates might depend on how difficult things turn out to be. We have been working on server code for user challenges, and have some replay code in the works, but I am really not sure if they will come out in a later update or sooner update. The next updates will more likely be improvements to things that are already there. We really should have made that clearer, but as already answered, Underpass is the name of the original skate park, and Inbound is the new park.
The idea of a board with more realistic physics would be good. I feel like the board spins a little too fast when I am free skating and want to do specific tricks.
There is a new update which should fix level loading issues, and purchase verification issues. Although, if you are currently having those issues, I am not sure weather a device restart or a full app re-install might be necessary after the update or not. Either way, you will probably have to use the restore purchases button in the store. Also, we tried to fix an iCloud issue some people where having where they couldn't connect to iCloud. We would love to have some feedback on that.
I have never had this game upload to icloud before from either my iphone 3GS or iPad 4, and I've been using it for months with icloud turned on in my devices and in the game. I just installed this update and as soon as I booted up the game it asked me if I wanted to upload to icloud. I have never seen that prompt before. I said yes and it proceeded to boot up the game, but doesn't appear to have uploaded anything to icloud. Same results on both iPad and iPhone.
Game Center scores Hi, I've been lurker here for a while and have been playing True Skate for some time now. It's easily the best iPad game I've tried and definitely the only one I keep coming back too. Really amazing work. It is even partially responsible for getting me back into real skateboarding after about a 20 year hiatus. I've been slowly getting better and better at putting together tricks and lines and really enjoy the challenge of improving my control of the board. Currently my best trick (360 shuv to long noseblunt) scores around 4500 and gets me a 10-11x multiplier. I can follow this by a few other nose slides, etc and get the multiplier up to 23x and finish up with a score around 200,000. I've been really happy with that but was floored to see the kinds of scores people are getting on the Game Center high score lists: the top 25 best trick starts at 25,000 points and goes up to 1 & 2 billion point tricks! I can maybe see how 25k tricks are possible but 1,000,000,000? How on earth are they doing that? Anyway, I was wondering what kind of scores others were getting and if you'd be willing to share some tips or places on the map where you do them.
iCloud is working perfectly again after this update. Thanks so much! : ) Also, SUPER stoked about replays finally coming!!
Thanks for letting us know that you have now had the iCloud prompt on startup. If you go into the pause menu -> help & options -> options, does iCloud show up as "On"? When you say it doesn't appear to have uploaded anything, is that because you aren't seeing your True Credits, achievements, missions, etc. sync between your devices or are you trying to view the iCloud data in an external tool?
It shows as being "On" on both devices. I looked at the True Credits between my phone and ipad, they had not synced. I also checked in my two devices under Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage and also in the iCloud utility for PC, none of these showed any True Skate data in them.
Thanks for the extra information. It is normal that you don't see any data in Storage & Backup for True Skate and it is likely that you won't see anything in the PC utility either but I will have to confirm that. What iOS version do you have on the devices? That may give us a few extra clues as to what might be causing your issue. Sorry if you have already mentioned that, I had a quick look but couldn't see it. Out of curiosity, could you try doing a few missions, achievements and filling out the trick book a bit to see if any of that information gets synchronised correctly? It might be useful to know if it's specific to your True Credits or if it is everything that is meant to be synchronised.
Sure, I'll do some missions and check. I'm on iOS 6.1.2 on both devices, and it hasn't worked for any of the iOS versons I've used in the last 2-3 months since I bought the game. I have some other games that don't seem to work with iCloud but I have some that do work, I don't know if that means anything. I would assume if it was a problem on my end that no games would work.
Could you give me an example or two of games that do work correctly for you, I might grab them and do some investigation too
I'll have to check and get back to you tomorrow. I could tell you some games that appear in my iCloud management settings but I should play them and make sure they actually synchronize before claiming they do.
One Tap Hero: Free is a game where iCloud works for me between iPhone and iPad, both on iOS 6.1.3. I tried completing some missions, they didn't sync.
