That's a good point. Especially if you delete all the iCloud data too. Might be ok if you have another device. We will keep looking into it but it isn't obvious what might have gone wrong with this update. It think it only happened on one particular device we tested with.
Hi guys, Just thought I'd mention that, at least in my case, logging out of iCloud and deleting the game didn't cause me to lose my achievements, mission completion, TC, etc. When I turned everything back on the game synced with the information in iCloud and I was up and running again, BUT I do know that iCloud was working for me in the past as I had multiple devices sharing my information so I know that the information was in iCloud. Still looking into a nicer solution. I should also apologise for the programmer art deck template, no-one was meant to see the guide layers of my deck image project and the final deck images wouldn't have been much use to you
I can't really delete my app cause icloud has never worked in the first place, I have no save data for True Skate in the cloud. I could possibly back up the save data with one of those Windows utilities and then restore it after reinstalling, but that might defeat the purpose of the experiment. I don't get it, I have a few apps that work with icloud and then some just don't. If some of them work then my connectivity and settings must be correct.
The restore button works. Thanks. The template is really helpful, but do you think you will improve the board customization?
For sure, it would be good to get some scale and rotate functionality into the board customisation, it is just that we didn't want to delay the update of the new level just to make the board customisation better. I expect we will improve it in the future to make it a bit more user friendly, plus of course, add new customisation options.
So that template matches the in-game deck resolution? It seems kind of small. The default deck looks really detailed on my iPad 4.
Apparently iCloud has been down for 10% of users for 5 hours. It just happened to be at the same time we released our update. I don't know how much that helps you if iCloud never but some people have been complaining that the update broke iCloud, but it sounds like just a random coincidence.
I just noticed a little nitpicky problem with the board customization. It's really not a big deal at all, but I set my grip tape how I want it and I noticed when I load the first park the grip design is how I want it, but when I load the new park the design is flipped. And any time I respawn it stays the same way depending on which park. It would just be nice if the board design was facing the same way for all parks. Again, this is very nitpicky and I don't really care at all. Just pointing it out.
Okay, so nobody seemed to care about this, but I found an easy way to recreate it. On the fourth and closest camera angle, let your board come to a complete stop. Then place one finger in the middle of the board and slowly pull down towards and past the tail. The bottom half of the screen will go black and the top half will just show the sky. When you reset, your board will be completely black. Your board will stay this way until you switch levels or until you fully close and restart true skate.
We have had a few people mention this one already, and even give videos of how to reproduce it, it seems like there are a few ways it can be done.
I can confirm this. It glitches every single time for me using this method. I made a new video that's entirely at the new park. I love the new bluntslides, obviously. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHiG3ZWr_og&feature=youtu.be Edit: And another. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_dszY0Iz5M
Luke, I don't know how this idea popped into my head, but I had a little artistic idea for True Skate. I've always loved how vibrant and stylized the textures in this game are. The way the specular light shimmers on the wood and concrete. The baked-in variable penumbra shadows look amazing. Anyways, I don't even know if this is possible with whatever engine you're using or if iPhones are even capable of this yet, but I was imagining how nice it would look with a slight depth of field effect. So I took to Photoshop to check it out and I think it could be pretty awesome. Check them out here. http://imgur.com/a/3kolz I'm imagining having a slider to adjust the effect from completely off if you hate it to an extreme amount. It almost gives it more of a toyish feel, but I kind of like it. Anyways, this is completely random, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I've seriously played True Skate over 24 hours in the past three days. This is like crack.
DoF makes it look like the new SimCity. It's pretty cool artisitcally for still images, but I dunno if I'd use it while playing.
DoF would be Great, but i think i wont be possible, because this would be too CPU-hungry, there is no Real 3D game on iOS i know of that gives you this effect. What i d like to see is a pro-mode, where the gravity is stronger. Im totally fine with the jumpheight and control. But i often think the board should come back down faster and earlier... you can jump insane distances in True Skate. More gravity would mean, no more triple-flips and impossible jumps, but more joy completing realistic simple tricks like in real life.. Id die for the option to alter gravity. Or is this too complicated too implement as scores wouldnt be of the same value in each mode?
