It does support iCloud for everything except the board thingy. When you start the game, it will ask you wether you want to use iCloud or not. It think there should also be an option in the Menu. If you have iCloud disabled on your device, or it isn't supported on your device, then these options might be missing. The iCloud SDK is kind of a bit strange, it tries to make a lot of things automatic, but we would really like more control to be able to make it work the way we would expect. It kind of feels like you just have to throw things up there and hope for the best when it comes to what is synced and what is ignored.
I'm not seeing an option to turn icloud on in the settings. Maybe I unintentionally said No the first time? I expect I would have said yes but I don't know for sure. Does it ask you every time or just the very first time you start the game? Wow, deck customization is too pricey for me in TC but I don't mind paying the .99 cause that's a really cool feature.
Alright so I just checked the menus in-game and can't find the iCloud on/off anymore. I definitely remember it being there before... Maybe it was accidentally removed? Can someone confirm this? I'll have to check my iPad when I get home later to see if things have stopped syncing...
Looking forward to what you find out, it's always bothered me that I couldn't get icloud to work for this game cause it looks so much nicer on ipad but I find I play it more often on iphone so that's where all my True Credits are.
I checked True Skate on my iPad before updating, the iCloud setting is there under one of the slow motion settings. It was turned on but I've still never had it upload or download from the cloud. In the latest update the setting is no longer there, I don't know if that has any impact on functionality.
Just ollie when going up the big half pipe and go from there. Luke - can you confirm the size of the deck in pixels so I can customise my images to fit the deck as I want it? There's no way to adjust the image when it's on the deck, and although I can fiddle around it would be good to have an exact figure. Loving the new park, though I've yet to work out some nice flowing lines. The new bluntslide mechanic is great, just as I hoped. I've had this game on my ipad and iPhone since release, and I poured hours into the original park. Looking forward to the future with his game (and JCS2 - which sounds like it takes inspiration from trackmania united, my all time fave game!).
It would be good if we could move and resize our photos to line them up correctly with the deck. As it is now, I have to just hope the right part of my image lines up with the deck, usually it doesn't. I would love this feature, I'm surprised it's not already there. I paid the 99 cents for customization and finding that it's not very versatile in that way. I do like the customization though. Changing wheel color would be nice.
My biggest issue with the game right now, why are so many of the rails so short? There are so many where you grind and come straight off, and then run into the front of the next rail. Why not fill in the middle between them for longer rails?
After lots of trial and error in photoshop I was able to recreate my real life skateboard, luckily it has red wheels like the in-game board. So worth 99 cents.
Wow, you can do 540/720's now and it registers! New park is awesome, love the spine section. Also, Bug Report: when bluntsliding on a ledge slowly, the camera can actually lose the level, and all you see in half a black screen and half a sky. When you reset your board, the board becomes completely black.
It appears my progress is no longer syncing after all... It's weird that the toggle disappeared from the menu.
The other guy at True Axis (James Gale) has been looking into this. I am actually on holiday in Canada. Still going through lots of support emails though. From his face book post: I ran into some issues with iCloud not working after the update, for anyone else also having issues I managed to get iCloud working by logging out of iCloud in the phone's settings, deleting True Skate, restarting the phone, logging back into iCloud, install and run True Skate. I haven't had a chance to talk to him about it just yet, but maybe that might help.
Deck image attached. Perhaps the art could be a little less programmer art, but it might help some people. Edit: Actually added the attachement
That template will be helpful. I wouldn't want to delete the game cause I think that'd erase my progress.
Just hit the restore button in the store. Otherwise try buy it again. Apple shouldn't charge you twice. They will ask if you want to buy it, then the next message will tell you you don't need to, and ask if you want to download it for free.
