Spot on Michael. That's for putting up some info on those tricks. I also second replacing or allowing the slow mo button to be changed out for session markers. I really don't play this game for points or missions. I play it for the feeling of landing exactly that trick I am trying. It really feels like skating this way.

Cool, that means that True Skate has always had this correct. (Appart from some flaws calculating the number of rotations when the board gets too vertical, which I have just been working on fixing)

With the changes I have made now, the detection for a 360 double hard flip works much better. It used to often be reported as a double kick flip or something. Sometimes a 360 double hard flip, look a bit like like two back to back hard flips, although, things get very confusing when you are watching that many rotations.

Signed up to say this game is amazing. It's been fun lurking here, watching it progress.

I'm all about the missions, so please keep that up. In the mean time, is there a gap list available anywhere?

  5. Hey Luke,
Cheers for such a good game, the physics are great and theres some really fun lines for such a compact park, altho i still cant wait for the new level as it looks amazing!

Im glad that most of the things I'd like to see in the game are things that have been mentioned by folk in this thread or things that you've already said you're working to improve such as switching off all text and points, improving manuals, having an option to choose goofy footed, new parks, tricks, boards, replays etc..

I'm not sure how you've been tweaking the manuals to make them better but i was thinking the controls might work if you set them so that one finger on the tail will start to lift the nose and then another finger on the front of the board would stop it rising any further and hold the manual, at the moment when you put your second finger on the front of the board it just pushes it back down to the ground..

other controls i'd like to see is the ability to turn the board in the air a little bit by holding your finger/s on the board and moving it, it wouldnt have to go more than 90 degrees at the most but even just like 20-40 degrees would be good, i feel that in real life you can do shiftys and stuff in this sort of manner, and i think it'd feel good when hitting hips and things.

As regards to new/existing parks a (gapable) double kink like the one that was suggested earlier is always fun! also a san-fran-esq hill bombing level could be interesting with some fast gap/rail lines and maybe even some traffic.. lol
or even if the sanfran thing is a bit played out then you could maybe make it like some hilly town in norway or the alps or something..
it's probably the snowboarder in me but a mega ramp could be as fun as it is stupid.. probably more stupid tho haha
some real spots would be ace too or even see if the berrics would let you use one of they're parks..

Also I always spend soo much time in level editors but Im guessing it would be a mentally ridiculous challenge to put something like that in the game but I was wondering about the possibility of putting in movable objects like picnic benches and fly-offs, i really enjoy setting up my own lines in skate 3 and think it could be fun and add more variation to the levels, you could even make them purchasable with true credits or something..

I also liked the idea of being able to zoom out more as I liked the feeling of a smaller board when i had a shot on my friends iphone..

anyway thanks again for a great game!
I cant wait to see what you guys are gona do next..

    all the best, Cruicky

I second the idea of shifties. If it could go a full 180 that would also make bowl skating super fun! Could do 180s with that method!

Here is a video showing of the new blunt slide physics in the works.

It might make some kind of sense to make the second finger do something with manuals. I'm not even sure what affect the second finger would have at the moment.

We have added a very very slight ability to do this in the next update. We did this at the same time as adding the ability to steer the board in grinds which was missing and can make a big difference in some cases.

We have always been thinking about level editor ideas, but where not likely to do anything about that any time soon. We will probably add a lot of new levels first.

    Blunts

I' m really exited for the new upcoming park. But i'm a bit worried that the new "blunt-detection" wil kill the nose and tail-slides in bowls that i'm good at after days of practice;) the video you posted looks like the blunt clicks in where normally a slide would have been performed... Could be wrong though but in this vid the blunts happen where in the old version you would either slide or fail... fck my english, hope you get what I mean. Btw this is my number 1 game by far!! Keep it up

Ok i was wrong as it seems to depend on the direction of the board of course. D'oh

Yep, I don't think that it interferes with nose and tail slides at all. You need to be going a bit faster, and you need to hold the opposite end of the board.

Near final art for the new skate park. Having a lot of fun playing on this level.

Having trouble thinking of a suitable name to call the level though.

"The park with the wooden ramp things in it"

    Also;

Will you ever make thematic parks? Like a museum, Hollywood movie set or maybe an airport?
