Among all my pickups today (Sonic Jump, Symphonica, Zombies, Save Them All among others) this is my most played... and it is one of the most addictive games i've played. It's got fantastic physics, and controlling the skate board felt natural after a few runs. What this game needs, are different board designs, wheel designs, a couple more playgrounds, and more missions. Oh... and a record feature, so we can share how we do tricks and flaunt highscores in video
I don't know, but I noticed it is in the Australian store with one 5 Star review, thank you to who ever did that

"True Skate is clearly something special" - 4.5/5 - Touch Arcade review. True Skateâ„¢ is the closest feeling to real-world skateboarding, with a decade long evolution as the ultimate skateboarding sim. Note: True Skateâ„¢ comes with a single skatepark and contains additional content available via In-App Purchase or Subscription. See below. PURE PHYSICS CONTROLS Use your fingers like you would your feet on a real skateboard. Flick the board to make it react exactly how you would expect & drag your finger on the ground to push. - Play with one finger, mind skate with 2 fingers, or play with 2 thumbs, now with Gamepad! The skateboard reacts instantly as foot & finger, thumb or stick feels truly connected whether pushing, popping, flipping or grinding. - True Axis's instant & unified physics system listens for swipe, position, direction and strength from the player & processes how the skateboard should respond in real-time. So the same flick in two different points of the skateboard will react very differently. - Literally any trick is possible with TRUE CONTROL of the skateboard, so if you can dream-it, you can do-it! SKATEPARKS Begin at the Underpass, a beautiful skatepark to get lost in with ledges, stairs, grind rails plus a bowl, half pipe & quarter pipes. Then start grinding Bolts to unlock 10 Fantasy Parks. Additional skateparks are available as In-App Purchases. I'm sure I'll get more adept at not smashing into everything in sight, but a touch more room to set up your tricks would be nice. luketrueaxis Well-Known Member Oct 14, 2009 980 0 16 Game Development (Managing Director of True Axis) Melbourne, Australia #52 luketrueaxis, Oct 18, 2012 Last edited: Oct 18, 2012 That's interesting, I actually wanted things even more dense, for more rail to rail combos, and so that if you miss one rail, you can just immediately find the next one to go for. I guess variety would be good, but there are some areas where you can get a longer run up. Anyway my advice is, set up your line, then use the rewind feature. MidianGTX Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2009 3,738 10 38 #55 MidianGTX, Oct 18, 2012 Oh yeah, combos would be awesome, just stick a little flatland trick area next to it and it'd be fine. I don't exactly need everything spread out, just a small section where you can gather your thoughts and prepare for the run up Baracus Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2009 1,023 0 36 UK http://www.hatenintendo.co.uk #56 Baracus, Oct 18, 2012 Yeah really feels natural (playing on ipad3... will try on iPhone 5 in a bit to see how it is on smaller screen), but I certainly cannot do the moves I see in my head just yet haha I did one rail slide and promptly got excited and fell off. Physics are awesome and frame rate is great which really helps the flow. Some of the best use of touch screen I've ever experienced though, really well done! Also the font is extremely hard to read on my iPod Touch 3rd Gen. Other than that it runs and plays like a dream. luketrueaxis Well-Known Member Oct 14, 2009 980 0 16 Game Development (Managing Director of True Axis) Melbourne, Australia #59 luketrueaxis, Oct 18, 2012 Last edited: Oct 18, 2012 I only realized that font was a bit faint on the low res devices at the last minute. I had done a lot of testing on my PC build at that resolution and thought it looked great, but some how, the final version didn't come out quite so well on the actual device. I'm not sure how that happened. Possibly the font scale was reduced at some point with out remembering to test it on device again until too late. Luckily the game runs really smoothly on those devices though. Wow, thanks a lot for that praise I think the best place to do that currently skating along under the shade of the over pass. You can do quite a long straight line there with not much in the way. We have quite a few of the pieces for this already, the missions where all created using a development record feature, and obviously they can already be played back. We already have some code done for a challenge system with replays too, but all the server tech and log in code was taking too long. Hopefully we will get some of that in an update eventually. Could take a while though. johannaffendy Well-Known Member Jul 5, 2012 249 0 0 Malaysia #60 johannaffendy, Oct 18, 2012 Judging from the comments and videos, it seems that True Skate is basically a virtual skating simulation. Does it have any mission-type objectives or achievements ala Tony Hawk Pro Skater? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
