I noticed that too! I went straight for the highest-point-giving missions where they give you 6000+ true credits. So after the second or third one I kind of lost 4000 credits by hitting the 9999 cap. So now I just spend my TC on new missions as soon as I get it.
Don't know why we didn't consider that. I guess the cap should have been at least double what it is. (Or we should have made the missions reward half). Will have to think about bumping that up for the next update. I think we need a cap though, so that when we release new things to buy, some work will be necessary to earn them, plus, in case there are ways go game the system. I think we might do a smaller update in the new year, then after that, if things go well, it could be a new level if February. It could be tight though, because I will be big brake in late Feb, so if we can't get it out before then, it will have to wait until mid march.
Hooray for new park! I can't wait. If you're taking suggestions at all, mine would be a double kinked rail. I know you said it would be more transitional (which is awesome), but I thought I'd try. Here's an example. It wouldn't have to be quite so massive though. David Gonzalez is a beast.
The new park has already been designed, it just needs to be made to look good. It nearly had a double kinked rail in it, but ended up with something with some gaps and a corner.
Blunt slides and nose blunts can be a little iffy at times but it makes for more satisfaction pulling one off! One thing that is really easy and effective is tricking into/out of wall rides, it would be a nice touch if an update incorporated recognition of wall rides as a trick as they're quite fun to do and can create some interesting lines. It would be good if the game recognised and rewarded them
I support this idea. Trying to wallie into tricks was one of the first things I had a serious challenge with.
I've been working on a lot of the missions lately and got to thinking. I don't know how you record and make the mission ghosts, but if there was a way for anybody to do the same it would be amazing. Kind of a way for the average user to play a game of S.K.A.T.E. But make them call the trick beforehand so they don't get away with just getting lucky doing random shit. If not, I imagine there would be all sorts of people doing stupid looking triple laser flip late heelflip darkslide double impossible kind of stuff (dork point tricks). That would just get annoying. Like I said though. I'm not sure if you make the mission ghosts manually or not. Either way, if you ever need any help making new mission videos....I've got plenty of time on my hands and would be happy to help!
This was the first game I bought for my Iphone 5 and I'm really in love with it. It's the most fun game I've ever played on a mobile device and I think it's worth way more than $1.99. (I'm probably going to buy the Slo-mo feature later to just to support you guys) I'm really excited about you guys making a new park. (Would you guys mind teasing us with some screenshots asap?) This game has alot of potential and I'd like to see you guys sticking with this. (As said before it could use some tweaking though when it comes to the session marker for example.)
I pretty much had a working challenge system before the initial release, but, decided to drop it because there was just too much work necessary to get all the rest of the client server connectivity done. We are looking at the server code again now because we are going to need that for JCS2 as well. Calling your trick is an interesting idea for a game of SKATE. We might have a few different ways of doing challenges, we will have to test all that out a bit more an see what we think works best.
Updates will keep coming. We've been working on some connectivity stuff which will also come in handy for JCS2, but the next big True Skate update to look forward too will probably be a new level which might arrive in late February if things go to plan. We might put out a smaller update before then with a few fixes.
Sooooooo... What do the secret hud buttans do?? http://imageshack.us/a/img801/6292/photojan07113708.png
Alright, sounds great! Here's a list I can think of: - fix how on iPad I skate a lot slower then when on the iPhone. - uploading pictures to use on the bottom of the board. - implement a system to allow the purchase of different colours of grip tape and wheels. But make sure they require a great amount of skill too acquire to put a purpose to missions I would pay again for these! I'm totally addicted!
Nothing yet. They where from features dropped from the initial release that might appear in an update instead. Really? I feel the iPad skates faster. The iPad one isn't quite as smooth as the newer devices though. We have had heaps of these kinds of suggestions, but the most popular request atm is for a new skatepark.
Ha ha. Wow. I didn't expect a response THAT fast. So awesome. Looks like this will keep me busy for a while. Huge gap and rail possibilities from the deck of the half pipe. The bank to tall ledge looks awesome. I am very excited.
