Update says, what's new - blah blah blah slow motion mode. NOT in app purchase slow motion mode. This update is rubbish! Deleting this game

umm... You can buy slow motion time using in game currency with out in app purchases.

Actually, the in app purchase isn't even working yet at the time of this post, so the only way to get it is with out any in app purchases.

Anyway, we are setting up the True Credit system for a lot more unlockables in the future. You can get TC by just doing tricks, or doing missions.

There are now 78 missions including the Tutorials. Some are very hard.

This Update is Great. The inclusion of lines really keeps me trying to improve my scores and you can finally skip the introsequence. This is slowy becoming a "real Game". But why do we have to skip through several menues just to set the Session Marker?

I do like the game and when I saw an update I was excited, thinking new map, boards, etc... I know you have worked hard developing the game and was rude of me for saying rubbish when it clearly isn't. Perhaps had my hopes up too high.

Awesome...but is there a way to end a line early?

Typo on "jumpped" in the Gap Book

Also, no "gap" for a reverse jump onto the ramp beside the bowl?

Not exactly sure what your talking about there, but the gaps are added manually, so if anybody knows of any good ones not in there you can request they be added. We plan on extending this gap feature further in the future.

Yeah, there must be a better place to put that session marker.

You can end a line earlier by slowing down to a stop. (We need to make it so if you hold your finger on the ground, it stops you, although, we have to be careful that it the same feature doesn't slow you down when you really want to push)

I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few other typos in this update. We where rushing a bit to get it out for the holidays. Even though a few people where hoping for new boards and customization and stuff, there really is a lot in this update, and we now have the store and True Credit system in place in preparation for that.

I guess what personally peeves me about the new system is how inconvenient it is to use slo-mo. What would have been really nice is if we had a meter that filled up as we did tricks, and tapping on it would instigate slo-mo and the meter would drain. Having to earn credits that you then exchange in the store for slo-mo time may make sense in the future as other consumables are added, but in for now it's kind of annoying (probably would be in the future too).

I think it could still do with more tweaking and streamlining. I think having the option for bigger Slow mo time True Credit purchases, or maybe making the slow mo button on the HUD go directly to a True Credit purchase option if you run out of time could work better

    Luke,

Methinks I have a good idea on how you could make the whole slow-mo thing really good, while still making it favorable for you.

Here's my idea, lemme know what you think:

Instead of having to buy time with your credits (which, to be honest, sucks), make it so that you spend credits to upgrade your slow-mo ability. Example: You start out with slow-mo lvl. 1 - gives you 10 seconds of slow-mo, with a 5 minute cool down time. Then, for a certain amount of credits, you upgrade to slow-mo lvl. 2 - 20 seconds of slo-mo, with a 4 minute cool down time.

Make it so that by the time we purchase the final upgrade (make it difficult to encourage lots of playing!) we can get unlimited slow-mo for free. This way, only those who are in a rush will make an in-app purchase (to immediately unlock maxed out slow-mo ability), while the rest of us can grind away at getting the ultimate slow-mo upgrade.

Implement something like this, and that would totally rock! Heck, this idea could really transform this game. Imagine a bunch of different upgradeable skills - slow-mo, big air, vert-air, etc.

Anyway, as of now, I think the whole buying 10 seconds of slow-mo is really crappy. Especially seeing how expensive it is. Like, 10 minutes of playing to get 10 seconds of slow-mo time? Not for me. Please consider my idea. I think it'd be the best of both worlds.

We will keep thinking about how to improve the slow mo, but actually, if you get good with the line bonus, you start to get TC quite quickly.

We could consider doing a small update in the new year with some small tweaks based on the feed back we are getting.

    Some suggestions:
    - easier access to session markers, preferably a button on in-game
    - ability to turn off score counters, with the exception of high scores/lines
    - ability to turn off trick names, as some of these are still incorrect/don't register/are only normal stance

Yeah. At the very least then NEED to let us buy unlimited slo mo with TrueCredits, not just iAP.

But where is the problem? It just Takes 3-4 lines to get one purchase of this slomow-thing. Just keep skating a bit and you can buy more than enough.
BTW: I bought the iap just to keep the evolving of this Game going, don't even use it -feels like cheating. The physics and control of this game is so great, this just has to become a classic ( with a Bit more content in areas, but i hope its coming).

I haven't had much time to play with 1.0.3 yet. I bought the slo-mo for the hell of it (It's $1. And I've always thought this game was worth more than $2.). It seems like it would be a fun gimmick every now and then. It almost seems a little too slow though. It would be nice if the transitioning in and out of slo-mo were a little smoother. Seems a little weird as soon as you catch the board it's insantly fast again. Would be nice if it blended. I've never really been that big on missions, but I plan on checking them out. Seems like there are a bunch. The line system seems interesting. Not sure if I understand it quite yet. I'm super interested in checking out lip tricks to see how different they are. I'm going to do that right about now.

I made a new little video with a few manual tricks, firecrackers, and whatnot if anybody's interesting in nerding out.

Mostly just fixed that bug where you could rotate the board when hitting a lip to go flying, plus made truck grinds generally better. Still need an update to get those blunt slides locking on though!
