Oh... You should implement something similar to impossible for this as 180s and 360s are quite common in street skating.

360s are done by rotating your body, but there is no body in the game, so I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense to implement them that way. The way an impossible works kinds of makes sense because in real life, you need to get your foot under the board and lift up at the right time to make the board spin around your foot. If you do a FS 360 in real life, you just do it similar to a pop shove-it, except you rotate your body with it and the board sticks to your feet slightly. Otherwise, there is an early grab, or grab 360 which are more like transition tricks I think.

Well that's what I was saying about doing a three shove but keeping your "feet" on the board. But you are probably right, it could feel clunky in game.

On another note. My big thing, as a goofy skater is that I just want an option to correctly show trick names for how I skate. Even when I play the game I have my right thumb forward and push with my left. It's awkward to me to see my 3 flips being called lasers.

I think maybe he was talking about the camera moving with the board for 360's. And I've been thinking about that for some time now. Seems like it could be awesome. Have you tried that out?

That might be worth thinking about. Probably most of the cameras go closer in, when the first camera is already close enough.

I have tried that, and although it looked very cool, I very quickly felt motion sick, and I don't get motion sick that easy.

Also, somebody requested a goofy option. This is something we will get around to eventually. One of us is actually a goofy skater. We just need to work out a way to make all the mission descriptions flipped too. Nollie tricks are still all backwards too.

I'm natural on skateboard, but goofy on aggressive inline, if there is such a thing. Most people turn left on vert, but I turn right. It kind of sucked when I was the only one with the sun in my eyes in the summer. Maybe that comes from learning backside turns on skateboard first, although my natural turn going backwards is the other way which leads to some strange things after learning many fakie tricks first, my forward tricks, like my natural McTwist, 720 McTwist, 360 and 720 where switch from my natural 180 airs, but my natural 540s backflip 180s and flat spins matched my natural 180 airs.

Newest update is a huge improvement on transition and rails. Love it.

    One suggestion:
When I am in the air close to a rail, I find myself trying to do half of a shove it to land in a tail/noseslide. It would be cool if I could just drag my finger and the board would spin, but would stop spinning if I didn't let go.

It's hard to describe. But like if I were parallel to the rail, slide my finger across the tail of my board and stopped my finger when my board had rotated enough, but never let go with my finger that should spin my board the 90degrees I need but still recognize that I want to slide on the rail!

Edit* I just noticed two more things.

The camera kind of tweaks out when you're right at the top of the quarter pipes now. I think it is because you get a bit of a boost.

There have also been added in Gaps which show up as part of the trick but add no points and aren't on the trick list.

That's basically exactly how it works, you just need to take your finger off. Flick the 90 degrees then hold it where you want it. Changing it to your suggestion would make it less of a sim and more of an arbitary game command.

I'm enjoying the update but the lip detection makes the board look kinda funny when rolling into the bowl. I guess it's a necessary evil though, I can live with it.

Just got the update about two minutes ago and DAMN! Bowl skating is a completely different ballgame now! I'm super psyched. Never thought a 360 flip above coping would be so satisfying. And the session markers, although a bit awkward to navigate to, are an awesome addition. I haven't even tried manuals yet. Anyways, time to get my shred on.

These session markers, are these something different from the retry points? Also, are your flip tricks registering if you do them out of the bigger quarterpipes? Has anyone been able to do a blunt to Fakie yet?

Oh and last question, why can't we 5-0 and nosegrind on transition?

The session markers override your retry points. So you'll always reset to your marker. My flip tricks out of quarterpipes seem to work great after the update. Especially considering how hard they were to pull off preupdate. I was able to do a blunt kickflip fakie before the update. I'm sure it's way easier now though I haven't tried. It's in one of my crappy little videos I made. If you're interested...

And it seems like most if not all grinds work on transition now. I haven't tried actual bluntslides yet.

I've completed a bunch of moves in True Skate, but I have no idea how I did most of them. If you're not a skateboarder, it's more difficult to work them out.

If you can help explain how to do the moves, please contribute to the thread below. Hopefully, we can list instructions for all of the moves.

If you've mastered a bunch of moves, help us out!

I made a new post 1.0.2 update video with some more coping tricks. Way easier now.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeue6RDISos&feature=youtu.be

Also, I played True Skate on my buddy's iPad and OMG. It's seriously about ten times easier to manipulate the board. So much surface area. I want to buy an iPad mini just for True Skate now.

Nice, I always like watching your videos.

What is the problem with that guy who always leaves a comment on your youtube videos every time though? Looks like you got a Stalker or something.

Ha ha ha. That's actually just a friend of mine trolling real hard. Any word on the next update or what's going into the next update? I'm finally starting to get a little antsy for a new map. Maybe some more street stuff. I feel like messing with a huge double set with a rail would be awesome. I don't know if you'd run into legal issues, but having real famous street spots would be amazing. Carlsbad, Wallenberg, El Toro...all would be way fun. I know that's probably a lot of work though for little payoff. Unless it was an in-app purchase. I expected to pay $5 for the initial game and I'd definitely pay $2-3 for a new map.

Cool, I thought I better check if it was a friend, otherwise I was going to say that it was the most pathetic case of try hard trolling I've ever seen on the entire internet;)

Work is in progress for a new skate park that might come out in Feb if everything goes to plan... which it never does. It is an indoor park with a lot of transitions. Very different.

We are hoping to get another update out before the holidays with a lot of new missions, and a few other new features. Talk more about that when it is submitted. I'm guessing that even the new hard missions wont be too hard for you though.
