I've had the same happen once or twice but never reoccur again. iPad 3 64GB wifi only, iOS 6.0. In particular the achievements would occasional become wonky and not register in Game Center at times until the app was closed out and opened back up. It hasn't repeated itself though... Great game by the way, very addictive and feels like a game and not a toy (I'm looking at you Topia, hehe) despite having a set of goals or objectives. With that said; is it too forward to offer a few feature requests? 1. A way to view or tell us how to do the tricks we have done in our trick book. There are a few I have done by accident that I have no clue what I did and some that are so close (the various named grinds) that I'm unclear as to the minutiae of the subtlety to execute it since its hard to tell with grinds. 2. Some missions or goals would be nice. Even something generated like daily ones (Jetpack Joyride-esque). 3. Options for other boards, custom boards and such. 4. Another venue/stage to play on. No rush though, the game is great as is! Just chilling and trying to perfect tricks is fun enough! Thanks for an awesome game!
After playing some more I've actually changed my mind about needing more space. A single kick is enough speed to pull off virtually any trick, which almost completely eliminates the need for any kind of run up at all. I've also gotten more accurate with my steering and on the occasion I miss a rail, it's very quick and easy to rewind and correct. That's not to say more space would be a bad thing (I'd love to see more flatland tricks added anyway), but if it comes at the cost of performance or fluidity in the skatepark I don't think it's necessary. Part of what makes the current area so enjoyable is being able to instantly transition into a new trick after landing witout a ton of "no man's land" in between breaking up the flow. Refining the manual mechanics would be a good way of utilizing open space.
Can someone please attempt to explain how to do a frontside 360? It's the only trick I haven't done and I can't seem to understand how to do frontsides
Oh yeah...the game. Haven't bougt it yet but seriously considering it. I'm trying to remember something...I'm a lefty, but I forgot if I skated lefty or righty style. I kicked with my right foot. In the game, I would kick with my pointer finger and use my middle finger to stand on the board. Is that lefty or righty style (I do a lot of things in a righty way, since we live in such a right-handed centric world)? If it's lefty style, is there an option for that, without it being goofy-style? Because, of course, goofy style to a lefty is switching the board around and skating righty style. God, I hope that made some sense .
Holy crap. Who would've thought carving in a bowl would be such fun! I had kind of avoided the bowl until about five minutes ago, but it's almost more fun than the rails and stairs. Transfers are awesome. I haven't been able to do anything than 50-50 or maybe boardslide on the coping though. Are other grinds possible? A noseblunt around the bowl would be siiick. Edit: Whoa. Just noticed tranny makes nollie tricks infinitely easier because the camera shifts up as you go up the ramp. Niiice. Edit edit: Just answered my own question and ended up accidentally nosesliding around the bowl. I started from the top though.
I kinda get what you're saying...but...yeah Anyway, control scheme is basically finger on board for tricks etc, swipe either side of board to move. It's a pretty ambidextrous game, and doesn't matter if you're a lefty or righty.
Its the same as a pop shove it, but do it going up a transition, and land it coming down. I think we need to improve the bowl lip physics, you can't do most grinds on it, and we need to add detection for lip tricks. How do you get such high scores? Are you gaming the system? I wish we had that replay system in for high scores already.
Lol, figured out how to do manuals and do turns on the spot And skate around on two wheels. Tried a while and can't get out to the garden ;_; Maybe lower the invisible wall, add a small bit outside and then have an achievement for it?
Awesome game, found itself a nice home on the first page of my home screen. A couple things I wanted to mention (they may have been mentioned already): 1. Would it be possible to have the buttons at the top only work if you tap right on it? Many times when trying to do nollie tricks my finger will slide up there and activate the buttons on accident. 2. I haven't been able to really do any tricks on the vert ramps, the board always clips the lip or I can't get any air to do anything anyway. Is there some sort of trick that I'm missing to get air on those? If there's not a way to do tricks on the verts it makes them kind of pointless. 3. For me it's been pretty hard to do grinds, especially anything other than 50-50s and boardslides. Even boardslides can be tough because the board easily will teeter to one side and hit the ground. I don't know if I just suck, but I'd really like a way for the board to almost gravitate to rails (a la Skate 3) so I could focus on trying to do different grinds rather than get the board onto the rail. Unless you are lined up exactly parallel it seems really hard to do any sort of grind on the trucks. 4. Kind of related to the last point, but I hope there will be new skateparks with updates that have longer rails. Pretty much all the rails on the included park are so short that by the time I'm able to actually get a solid grind going and try to manipulate the board into a different grind, I'm already coming off. Also, if other parks had the obstacles a little more spread out, I'd have more time to point the board the right way and then set up for a trick. Anyway, those are pretty much my only criticisms, the game is awesome! Thanks for making it!
You can put a finger on the board and slide form side to side to balance the board. Also, I don't seem to be able to jump off from grinds very easily, usually it's a tiny hop onto the ground. And, in the trailer, you do an Impossible by Ollieing then swiping up from the bottom of the board (or so it seems) but I'm not able to do anything of that sort :/
Oh, also another "bug" with text is the mission objectives. In the mission briefing screen, the targets are very different to the end objectives
