Thanks Midian. It's hard, but hopefully I'll get it soon... Edit: Yes, I finally got up there! Ended up doing it a different way... It's cool up there.
Good point about the missions! It actually was very helpful in learning some of the tricks. Also thanks for addressing the Heelflip Corner mission... I tried it again after I read that and nailed it after two tries : ) As for people having trouble with pop shuvits, I'm glad I wasn't the only one. The "50 pop shuvits" achievement was the hardest one for me to get! However, eventually it just "clicked" and I can do them effortlessly now. Not sure what I'm doing different, but just keep at it I guess... I have been seriously playing this like nonstop in my free time and having a blast. Thanks True Axis!! (Also, I feel like I need to play with a camera over my shoulder for those moments when I practice and practice and finally pull off something cool...)
Ok, I decided I should publish the trick book possibilities in the game at the moment. You can do heaps more tricks if you count combos or late tricks, like a pop shove-it to late kick flip, but they are not added to the trick book. I am not sure if it is actually possible to achieve all of these. I expect we will add more in the future. Slids / Grinds: 50 50 grind, 5 0 grind, boardslide, rail slide, tail slide, nose slide, darkslide, dark 50 50, suski grind, smith grind, feeble grind, salad grind, nose grind, crooked grind, lazy grind, overcrook, losi grind, bluntslide and noseblunt. Flip Trips / Spins: kickflip, double kickflip, triple kickflip, quad kickflip, heelflip, double heelflip, triple heelflip, quad heelflip, pop shove-it, fs pop shove-it, 360 pop shove-it, fs 360 pop shove-it, backside 180, frontside 180, backside 360, frontside 360, ollie, nollie, impossible, hard flip, double hard flip, triple hard flip, 360 hard flip, 360 double hard flip, 360 triple hard flip, inward heelflip, inward double heel, inward triple heel, 360 inward heelflip, 360 inward double heel, 360 inward triple heel, varial kickflip, nightmare flip, varial triple kickflip, 360 flip, 360 double flip, 360 triple flip, varial heelflip, varial double heelflip, varial triple heelflip, laser flip, double laser flip and triple laser flip.
There are a few GC bugs in the game with the banner. I have only closed the game once so far, but on my iPad 2 iOS 5.1.1: -After reopening the game, all the achievements banners re-appeared from the top (drop down, go up, next one goes down etc) -Whenever you access the achievements page, there is a banner saying your personal best score
That is a bit special, does anybody else see this as well? It doesn't occur on my version? I guess I should really buy a copy from the app store and try. I always hate buying my own game though Even though it would bump up the chart pos that little bit extra.
Also, during the rewind, could: -swipes be erased? Now they just remain on screen until the rewind ends -score popups (goes from left to right of screen) continue normally during a rewind? When trying out tricks and rewinding, often a banner gets stuck as it comes on, goes off, or in the middle of the screen And, on the JCS2 page of the True Axis site, it says Jet Cas under about
I love this game, currently third in leaderboards (eliben25) but i have a few suggestions 1) manuals, so you can continue a trick and rack up more points. 2) It should go to 2x score for every trick you do in the same run 3) Different skateparks and the ability to customize your board 4) A Recording option, this would be great for sharing tricks, and would make the game that much more popular. Im sorry if im repeating people I didnt have the time to read the whole thread
Another thing I love about this game: Nollie kick flips are ridiculously hard and end up looking a bit sloppy, exactly like when my friends and I skated in high school.
How exactly do you do a 180 or 360? I've done them by accident before, but without actually physically turning your iPhone around as your board rotates I'm not sure how the game would differentiate between a shuv and a 180 or 360 shuv and 360. After a few more hours last night I'm starting to the hang of it a little better. 360 flips are definitely getting easier. This is way too much fun. Edit: Also, does making a curve with your swipe actually make a difference or is it strictly single direction swipes?
I think I read earlier that the difference between a shuvit and 180 is being on a slope when you do it. Don't quote me on it though...
The trick is in my trick book, so I probably did this accidently. I never managed to do this trick on purpose.
I'm loving this game, very fun and very realistic compared to other skate boarding games. One thing though, you're missing the forward flip and dolphin flip. You can do them in the game but they register as hardflip or inward heelflip. Awesome game! I'm having loads of fun feeling like I'm my younger, thinner, skater self again.
Nothing really, just a halfpipe-esque bit of decking. Let's see if I can get attachments to work on the iPad app... Edit: No, no I can't. Switched to my Macbook, here it is: http://f.cl.ly/items/3C1W3z01231p2j160i0h/photo.PNG
