Yup I got a screenie but I don't think I can add it while on my iPad..Ill post it to your Facebook page
Oh dear. I've yet to break 200,000. I guess I have a long way to go... I didn't know Spry Fox was on here! Are there any plans to add in some unlockables/stats/upgradeable things? Just something to give me an incentive to keep coming back, preferably without IAP. Even something as small as cosmetic changes or meaningless "titles" would be great. Or maybe you could add in some kind of storyline that is unlocked the more you play? I'd even write it for you if you wanted.
To answer some of the questions that have been asked: 1) As soon as we've fixed all the major bugs, we'll be looking into improvements like better high score tracking, etc. Other status markers are also a possibility. 2) The Facebook and G+ version of the game has a worldmap that you explore which will eventually unveil a bit more of a narrative and some new modes. If the mobile version does well enough that we can afford the cost, we'll port that stuff over as well.
In a logical sense, you would need to make a match on the last free place on the board. Since every place is occupied by now, the Ninjas should turn into tombstones, because they are trapped and can't move anymore. Then the matched tiles should join and give you the free places you need to play on. But I dunno if it's working this way (meaning that it could be that the Ninjas always move AFTER the match is created). Even if it all happens at the same time (match creation and Ninja moves), the Ninjas should turn into tombstones.
Dang... It would take a lot of planning to actually survive filling the board like that. Is the best strategy just to hoard gold using the treasure chests?
Vovin has the right idea Bots drop at a higher rate than ninjas so if you can survive longer enough, you'll almost always be able to clear out the ninjas without buying anything. Avoid the temptation to spend bots on non-ninja items (most you can clear out with matches) If you do run into a plague of ninjas try building towards having an open space in the center of the board. Slowly build inward until all the ninjas are trapped and they have no free spaces to teleport into. The Ninjas will die and turn into a single church. I usually do this once or twice per million point game. Keep at it! This is a deep game. I only really started figuring out the right techniques for managing bears after playing for about a year.
Are you sure you can kill a ninja that way? I could almost swear that you couldn't..I've lost games before filling up the last few spaces while a ninja was hoping around and it didn't stop until every last space was occupied and it couldn't move atnall because there was not one space, because if I made a match it'd simply jump to the newly created space. I'm getting alright at this game.. The problem is there's definitely some sort of exploit because someone has like 300 million on the leaderboards and that is physically impossible..I'm pretty sure.. The best z!xthing you can get is a triple castle..and even then it's less than 500k points, so you'd need like 600 triple castles, which is impossible to get on one board unless you had an endless supply of imperial bots, but even then it'd be a damn challenge and would probably take months to accomplish.
With most games, if you have a jailbroken device, you can just forge a bogus communication to the server, and send it whatever score you want. You don't need an exploit in the game itself. That's why many games have random ridiculous scores at the top.
Yeah I'm assuming The 300kmil one is a hack, But the other several million ones are a coin and item exploit bug, I just found the bug tonight ....it's a pretty good one..could probably score a couple million with it.
First, I just purposely tried that Ninja trapping and it worked as I thought. Second, I guess they will clean up the highscore table after they got rid of the exploits and the update is live.
Unfortunately, as best I've been able to learn, Apple makes this hard to do. I don't know that I've ever seen anyone clean up the obvious fake scores on GC (which is why I pay more attention to my GC friends lists than the wild wild west of everyone). For example, Tiny Tower has several players with *thousands* of floors, this game already has six players with 100+ million, Infect Them All has a leader with over a billion points (2nd place has 999,999,999, of course). Apple created a woefully insecure system - if a game is remotely competitive, it's a safe bet the top positions didn't get there by actually playing the game according to the rules.
Unfortunately, that's a known bug in the iOS version of the game. Frustrating, because we submitted a fix for it almost immediately after the game launched, but it is still bottled up in the iTunes review process. Hopefully it will get through the pipe soon.
Game Impressions Hey Spryfox, While I REALLY HOPE we'll eventually see something like the Facebook Campaign, having played a few missions into it I'm not quite sure I'm seeing, other than missions with very specific goals, how the levels are differeing. Is it all about their opening setup? Like hopefully still randomized but the parameters have been tweaked?
Does the new update squash the exploits and will you remove the obviously exploited scores from leaderboards? Isn't there a way Where you can make any coins which were duplicated disappear? Or is that not possible. It's not as fun with cheaters.
We focused the first update on fixing gameplay bugs and other major issues. There are still some exploits. It sucks that people are cheating, but it was more important to ensure that legitimate players have the good experience they deserve.
