Sorry if we launched Trilogic without notice (on a Sunday!). As the game is the March 19th release on the App Store's Indie Games page, we had to keep it secret until now If you didn't see this new page on the App Store yet, you should definitely have a look, there are a lot of awesome indie games. As Roger-NL noticed, Trilogic is a sequel to Bicolor, that we launched in 2014. This time there are 3 'elements' instead of 2 colors: fire, leaf and water. This changes a lot of things in the way of solving the puzzles. We created 180 levels, with a smooth difficulty curve. Don't hesitate to post feedback/questions/suggestions! THE NETHERLANDS #4 ROGER-NL, Mar 19, 2017 Just finished level 69 it was the hardest level yet, it took me some time, it's a clever game as always from 1Button. brianj22 Well-Known Member Dec 14, 2016 180 0 0 #5 brianj22, Mar 21, 2017 New game by 1Button. It's brilliant! Sequel to Bicolor but so different, albeit similar. Wake up TA! You guys are real suckers for card games and Match 3 but good lord you guys are really sleeping on this gem. 3 comments. ! mr_bez Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2012 2,053 3 38 #6 mr_bez, Mar 21, 2017 I really want to pick this up, as everything 1Button do is great and I'm really glad they've made another puzzle game, but coming out at the end of that Indie Festival means I bought 6 games in the week before it came out. I haven't even opened one of those and I've only played less than half an hour of some of the others. mr_bez Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2012 2,053 3 38 #7 mr_bez, Mar 22, 2017 I caved! 30 levels in and this is definitely a worthy successor to Bicolor. Highly recommended. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,026 332 83 Male Gamer. Judging from the trailer, it appears that a level can be solved in many different ways. It appears that there is an inherent lack of solution specificity. How true is this? This is not necessary bad, but there should be some measures to constraint the solution space so that the player has some insight to the developer's intended solutions. Perhaps the developer or other players who have played this game can comment on this... cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #11 cloudpuff, Mar 23, 2017 1button is one of the few Devs I'll instabuy from. Their games are small in storage space but big in content. 1button has their own folder on my iPad along with quantum sheep 1Button Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2013 196 3 18 France http://1button.co #12 1Button, Mar 23, 2017 Thanks guys for your support It depends on the levels. Sometimes they are strongly constrained and the number of solutions is low. Anyway, there is almost always a "perfect" solution. It's hard to describe this feeling, but when you discover such beautiful solution, it's like earning a personal achievement, or like finding a secret path. It's quite satisfying to discover the perfect solution that we hid. But you don't necessarily need to search for this perfect solution. There are indeed some discreet insights to help you find the perfect solutions: previous levels that looked quite similar, symmetry, geometric shapes, numbers... Most important than the number of solutions, the freedom that some advanced levels provide is what makes this game so difficult. So, the more difficult a level, the more you need to guess/discover/find the perfect solution. Maybe the players here can confirm or contradict? For example, look at the solution of this quite easy level: As you can see, there is a unique solution. But this allows the player to learn some mechanics that will be find again later in more difficult levels with more freedom, and the player will be able to guess the perfect solution by applying these mechanics. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #13 y2kmp3, Mar 23, 2017 Last edited: Mar 23, 2017 Hi, 1Button, You totally piqued my interest in this game with your statement about a "perfect" solution. Can you please explain more? In other games I played for which a level has multiple solutions, I will always choose one that is MOST efficient. Efficiency, most frequently, is defined by the least number of moves made or tiles used. This does not seem to apply to this game, thus I am very curious in how you define a "perfect" solution. mr_bez Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2012 2,053 3 38 #14 mr_bez, Mar 23, 2017 I think it's a "most elegant" solution rather than a "most efficient" solution. That's definitely my experience. On some levels, I've found a solution, but it feels messy somehow. On others, the solution has had some sort of symmetry or pattern which just feels more satisfying. THE NETHERLANDS #15 ROGER-NL, Mar 24, 2017 Some puzzles in this game take 30 seconds to solve others are more like 30 minutes or even more, it's very satisfying when you finish a really hard puzzle and all pieces fall in to place or in this game vanish from the playing field, and as I said earlier the sound it makes when you swipe 20 or more blocks in one go feels great ha ha. May I have a suggestion for 1Button, you guys made a sequel to Bicolor, my most favorite games from you guys are Super Sharp and Quetzalcoatl so.................... An intelligent approach to these hard levels later on. I'm enjoying this very much because I'm normally a download and delete type of player but this one has kept my attention for over three days now and I'm getting more Involved now. I love the puzzles that have me well puzzled. I've tried so many different ways to beat these difficult levels and then it's like omg I don't know how I didn't do it this way and then nail it. Great game , I'll be playing this longer than most games ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,026 332 83 Male Gamer. I'm still on 131. Four greens and 45 reds still to solve. As a very minor feature suggestion, it would be nice if tapping a colour on the main screen took you straight to that colour.
