And when you think about it, in my country (New Zealand) if this was not on sale the iap cost $10! That's half an iTunes card and as much as modern combat 4. This is stupid and now you have a stupid flashing ad irking you to buy the iap.

Well to be fair I would have paid 69p if that'swhat it cost but £2.99 (on sale) for 2 maps is a bit expensive in my book.
I still love this game. The update hasn't changed the original gameplay at all, which was the best point to begin with. The only critique I would make is that the pop-up advertisement for the IAP looks cheap and it's annoying that it comes up every time I open the app. Do I want to spend $5 for two new maps? Probably not. Ultimately the developers will have to figure out what price maximizes their current profits and still allows for a healthy influx of new players to keep their IAP income at a good level. If nothing else, pricing the update at $5 is an interesting economic experiment in the App Store ecosystem. Time will tell if it pays off for them.
Fastest way to kill an online shooter is to divide up the player pool by who bought the expansions and who didn't.... It's a shame because it was a great game.
Why is everyone annoyed ?? In uk cod maps cost £12 for 4 If you like the game you would buy the maps. Same here 2 for £3 Just get them. Lake Effect needed the money because they have been putting trigger fist free for too long I got it free so I bought maps to support the dev

The maps are good... So big and perfect for snipes and everything. The expansion pack is worth it... Screenies and everything are on their forums...
Not yet. Busy with some testing. I do plan on getting them though as the game is still one of the best on the App Store and I do like and support the developers.
Just FYI I think the posts that were deleted were instead actually moved to some other forum about IAP or something like that. I don't have any more details but I remember seeing a post about that. I'm now strongly considering getting the map pack, but seriously the IAP popups are getting annoying. Come'on devs, this is a game, not an infomercial.
