Can the devs or someone with knowledge about the subject please answer? After the reinstall the data didn't sync. The data was there on GC but not on my device. I made sure the newest data was synced several times before installing the update. But sure enough when I updated everything was gone. Eventually after several days it did upload, but there one problem. It says my play time is 11 hours and I have around 11,000 XP for the Scout, and 10,000 XP for both the Gunner and Rifleman. But my most recent stats were around 22,000 XP for the Scout and I had 20+ hours into the game. Can anyone explain why this is happening? And is there any chance my data is restored? Cause this is really annoying. Id be really grateful to get a response
There would be no way of explaining it without your device and stored logs to find where the error was. Why gamecenter didnt transmit all the data it had stored between itself and your device would also require your own gamecenter logs as well. However, if you had a clean install on your device and gamecenter had your up to date stats prior to that, it obviously didn't transmit all the appropriate data to your device. Multiple different reasons could cause this, certain jailbreak tweaks (legitimate ones obviously) if you have them, bad signal, gamecenter itself, Apple servers (which are very busy in the iOS 6 run up), change logs and many others too numerous to mention. Even direct access to your device probably wouldn't tell because the save file wasnt on your device, it was in gamecenter. I think it's obvious the problem was in the data gamecenter sent to your device. The fact it took days for it to send the data to your device shows the problem was more to do with gamecenter. The why would be a different matter. And would require the kind of access to gamecenter logs that are not available. As to whether it can be restored, probably not. iTunes device restore on computer might do it if it was synched recently enough.

This is the first shooter that I actually feel like I have a decent shot at playing, loving this game

It's all good. I got trolled myself a little over a week ago and had to take a minute off, lest I post something stupid and end up in "time-out." I have to admit, if I hadn't experienced the glitch myself, I would have had a hard time believing it... DBC
Ok thanks Rip. Maybe I shouldn't get my hopes up too high. Gosh darn GC. Makes me really reluctant to go back to the game knowing I unlocked stuff...ugh maybe this time I'll try to unlock the Riflemans next rifle instead
Regular syncs to a laptop or desktop would be the most secure backup of your game save data for any game anyway. A full restore is a bit annoying but regular synching, on the off chance even that something happens to your device, does secure the save data from your device. At least that way you can restore everything yourself without relying on an external server. Unlock the m16. It's my new favourite. Especially for long range on the trains map.

@killjoy Naw it didn't really. And I obviously didn't want it to make you look any way like anything. We share too many opinions, games and threads for me to do that. It's just seems to be a rare enough glitch that most people won't come across. The gamecenter new user/back to original user is a very simple process and solution. I just think it basically resets the gamecenter sync with new users and then resets again when you go back to your original user name. @app-inured It is a very quick and easy fix so you should give it a go.
Yeah, it certainly would be annoying. It does point out some of the work Apple needs to put in to gamecenter as all the software on the dev side has been tested and retested and retested again because of the glitches that have shown up since launch. And on their side and on the Apple test server everything works but once let loose, gamecenter just doesn't want to work sometimes. And this may appear to be over supporting the dev and blaming Apple servers but trust me, they are not the first dev to hit these problems. Many devs test with gamecenter and then just give up and go with their own servers because of its limitations.
Nice game. It plays well and feels similar to the Socom games on the PSP, with the y-axis being locked. I've been playing offline and the AI bots aren't bad. There's a nice variety of maps and game modes. Capture the goat mode is the game's main asset, in my opinion. The child in me finds it so incredibly amusing.
Agreed first game since the PS2 Socom that I've really enjoyed the only thing missing is hearing a bunch of foreign people talking in my headphones
Im so been waiting for a socom type game for iphone. This is not it but its getting close. It keping my hopes up. Sooon very soon
Regarding the inability for some to get online: I glitched into an online game by launching the app from a friend's GC game list. It spazzed into "Play w/ friends" and on cancelling it searched and launched an online game (both human players, so far as I could tell, disconnected before it started). Once finished, I had "Play w/ friends" along with "Singleplayer" and "Bluetooth". Backing out to any other menu leaves me with only the latter two again.
