Idk. I don't think you hate people(maybe you do ) but factoring your reputation does make it a little funnier to me at least. No disrespect at all man. Just maybe your blunt, honest, and sometimes harsh posts in the forums maybe influenced my thinking, but in no way did I mean to disrespect you. Ok well this is really annoying. I had stated earlier that all my data had been wiped with a reinstall. Well after doing the tutorial I was delighted to see my stuff back......then I realized on,y part of it was. Before I reinstalled everything was synced to GC, and I made sure my current stats were on there. But now only half of everything I had is there. It shows as 11 hours for play time. I had a little over 20 hours, and I had unlocked the UMP. Well, now I don't have it and that's 10 hours just shot. The game just deleted it I guess. Word of caution ppl. This game is kind of broken. But I'm sure the ones that got it for free don't really mind

No, no, I wasn't offended at all. Just really wondered what you meant. And yes, I do think people suck as a rule; (doesn't mean I hate them though; I suck too, and often) there are always exceptions though. Being open to them is important.
Downloaded it since its free and was really impressed with AI. Honestly couldnt tell if im playing with humans or bots. Wish you could aim down and up to make game more challenging since you have no chance of fighting back if enemy sees you first. Still its free and i cant really complain
there are a lot of us here who play in multiplayer but still haven't played any real players. this is frustrating knowing the game came out days ago.
Ok, so. All drama aside, I just played a few single player matches and one online, and the game itself feels very fun and solid. No technical issues so far, been playing on an iPad 2 mostly. Does feel like there's an advantage to be had playing on the larger screen, as enemies are easier to spot, though conversely I've found myself wanting a "180 turn" button on occasion. No idea to what extent the IAP figures into things at this stage, but playing with what I've been given at the start feels fun enough for me to not wonder too much for now. Most crucially? First FPS I've played on a touch screen where after about 10-15 minutes I had forgotten I was playing on a touch screen. All other issues aside, make no mistake: this clearly was made by someone with love for the genre and a firm grasp of what makes it fun.
Agreed. Im hoping when they make a second one they will adress all the "issues" or dislikes we have. Free or paid this is my favorite game so far. I like playing with the ai more. Reminds me of cod blk ops training but better.
They need their own servers... The game center is why it seems like there's no one there. I mean matchmaking would work better on their own servers
Would you prefer it if the devs hired 2000 or so people to sit around and fill up the maps? Seriously, there are a ****load of shady developer tactics; going free for a day isn't one of them. 99.99% of iOS device owners don't check daily AppStore price drops; nor would they know what apps are worthwhile beyond the top paid list. Spare your anger for the developers who truly screw you over; the devs who insert ad banners, strip functionality and features, add in-app currency, erect paywalls sectioning off gameplay you have already paid for (I'm not referring to new content, I hate it when people whine about paying for expansions that were never a part of the original game) etc. into paid games, gone free or not. Usually through an update which mentions nothing regarding the "new features". You have the same game you had. Now you'll have more people to play against! Put it this way; would I rather my car, which originally sold for $35,000, was worth more than the $7500 or so it is now? Of course! But at least Volvo hasn't issued me a recall, only to strip out the leather interior and replace it with carpeting.
Anyone with a brain knows they did this to raise the gaming community. let's say they had 2000 active users before, now they probably have 20,000+ for having a free weekend. The game was marked too high for something that's strictly a shooter style game with no single player story. They should of started at the 1.99 level With that aside, the game has been draining my battery due to the amount of time playing it.. Real fun. Hope they refine the controls a bit, I found myself not shooting even when hitting the fire button. Very strange
Look I mentioned this before, but I'll mention it again. I really dont believe it was the lack of players online. There are plenty of people that play online. I really think its GC thats messing things up. Whenever I tried to play online either through matchmaking or with friends, it would never let me connect, even when my friend was right next to me. I believe GC's invite system is messed up. And to be honest, there are sections that are blocked off by a paywall. I never said its pay 2 win, as the higher rank guns dont provide an advantage. And I never said it forces you, or you have to use IAP. Im just saying the paywall is high, not impossible to get over, put high if you want all the guns in the game. I played for 20 hours, and I unlocked 2 guns for gunner, 2 guns for rifleman, and 3 guns for the Scout. The 3rd level of guns costs 20,000 XP. and beyond that, it costs I'm assuming 50,000 XP and 100,000 XP. And thats just for each class. So you have to gain 300,000 XP if you want to unlock everything. Its a huge grind. Not impossible, but people will eventually get it if they play consistently for a year or two. And I never said they screwed us over. Its not a good thing when they drop the price after several weeks, regardless of the need. Its never a good thing. And the original game I paid for is very buggy, not broken, but it had issues. I really don't think its too much to ask for to play an ONLINE game with actual People. Is that unreasonable? All I wanted was to play an ONLINE game with People. And even, when it didnt work, I said, well, the bots are great, so while the issues are being worked out, its fine. And the bots are sometimes more fun. I never complained that I wanted everything. I just said it would be nice to play the game it was intended to be when I first bought it, not a flawed system that rarely worked. And lastly, the issue regarding my data. Im pissed off more about my data loss than the price drop, which I think was a bad move, but I'm not condemning them for it like some other people. I had put over 20+ hours into the game, everything had synced with GC(I made sure several times), and I was assured I could reinstall with no problems. And guess what? Only half of it synced. 10+ hours gone. Shot. Down the drain. Like it never happened. Like really? It may be GC's fault but either way, that sucks. And finally, Im just about done with this unless I can recover my data. There might be more people to play with but whatever. Again, Im not pissed off that I lost 5 bucks. Its just the fact that devs are doing this really isnt helping them, and makes me less inclined to buy on release day. I did get 5 bucks worth of entertainment, I would argue even far more. But all the issues and bugs have turned me off. And regardless of the intent, don't price drops like these in the past irk you at least a little?
I just wanted to mention one more thing; for those of you who feel like you got a raw deal, think of the average person who plays games on their iDevice. A lot of them are paying real money to enhance their pocket PowerPoint presentation, "Legend of the Cryptids" :/.
Oh, and the game does work on my 3g. Just very laggy, I'd have to free more virt Memory, then I'll be good.
I paid for the M-16 just because it's my favorite gun. It's three round burst is great for ammunition conservation, and it's 5.56x45 NATO ammunition provides the accuracy and power required for long range use. I should become a weapon salesman.

I jumped to a page late page in this thread, around where I figured that the posts would be dated post-sale. That being said, one of the problems with being an early adopter is discovering the magical grind-wall (like a pay wall, but more teeth-mashingly frustrating). I've only played one round against bots; so I'm in no place to actually judge this game. I was, in my head, comparing the free for a day (or three) sales phenomenon (when shortly after release) with the "F-you gimme money" (that should be read with the voice of Ray Liotta) schemes that have been plaguing the AppStore. Ya know, like "so I heard you like Trials of To- Fu, eh? hows you like some ads in dat der game of yuz? Sorry if I've blocked that pretty screen of yaz..." So, sorry if you felt like I was targeting you.
