A good review as well. 4.5 out of 5 stars is an awesome rating. But the best part of it is Jared understands the game perfectly and gives those on the sidelines the info they need to decide if they are getting the game or not. I think he captured the essence of the game very well. Here's hoping they will get the game. Real happy about it. Nice review Jared. Nice game Eric.
Hey guys, Registered to TA so I could post with you guys. I've seen quite a few of you in-game so I thought I'd join the community. Hit me up anytime to play, I love long walks on the beach, getting lost in a good romance novel, and playing with goats! Gamecenter: Gnarly Broskos
Welcome to the thread. Glad to have ya. I've played you a few times myself Adding you to gamecenter now. I'll ref this forum so you know who it is.
Lol, nice first post and welcome to the TA forums. You can add me FightingGI, I would have added you, but I'm at work right now. I just read TA's review of this game and Jared Nelson pretty much nailed it. Great review, it summarizes the great points of this game. I'm hoping this will attract lots of new players and good sales for the devs, so they can update this game with extended time limits. Great job LakeEffect !
I think I'm already your friend, we just haven't played yet. I've been keeping up with this thread for a few days and adding most people that posted their GC. We need to play sometime!
Did ya get the skin? I didn't realize we'd played the five games. That was some good high octane action. The indoor rocket base map was some game.
Yes, come to think of it, I believe your on my friends list. Sure we can definately play sometime, seeya on the battlefield.
Great review. If only my internet connection was fast enough to really be able to play online games like this, I would definitely go for it.
You don't have to be online to play it. It uses bots for offline play that are easily as good as playing real people. The bots also fill matches when online. The bots AI is one of the things that impressed Jared the most in his front page review. Definitely should still get it. The speed of your Internet shouldn't affect it much anyway I don't think. I've played on iPad connected to 3G modem and had no problems when other players were connected.
Has anybody noticed any increase on the number of "human" players in the matchmaking? PS: Can somebody please share a link to Jared's review? DUH! nevermind, found it XD didn't think it was a TA review, silly me e.e
Does the game backup to Game Centre profiles now? I know there have been problems with the Game Centre side of things. I am due to get a new phone soon and I don't restore from backups, I always like a clean start but I don't really want to loose my progress.
I just read the review... And I'm disappointed. I mean you now there are huge downsides on this game, for example: flat terrain, only 4 players, no singleplayer. You spoke of those things as, I dont know... Good. Plus, there's no way of communication (it's time someone finally does it again in an FPS (R.I.P. Eliminate)). No real aiming (it's good you said some liked it some not, but you shouldn't repeat ten times how good it is that there is no y-axis). It's ok if you give a good review, but sometimes you completely clutter up other, better games. Looks like it depends (REALLY) depends who writes the review.
