The handguns have infinite ammo so all you have to do is master them. It's not a bad thing anyway that you'll be dead before you run out of ammo. It just means the game is very fast paced and no one player is going to dominate a match. Camping spots are all over the place but you will have to move a lot and once you're out in the open, you're going down. It's also down to the fact that maps are not too big that you can't find an enemy. It's an action game and dying is part of that action. Respawn is really fast as well. You don't have to buy guns. Their earned through xp. You have an option to buy them with iap if you're lazy or not planning on staying with the game for too long but that takes the fun out of earning them. The long xp gap gives the long term players another reason to stay with it. Anyway I still don't think the xp gaps are that big anyway. And where the developer said the m4 will do everybody, i don't think he specifically meant its the best gun. It is a gun I use a lot but it suits a particular purpose for certain maps. The easiest way to look at it is that each gun has an A to D rating for accuracy, rate of fire, damage and range. Some have high range and accuracy but low rate of fire or damage. The m4 is a good multi purpose weapon but a bad sniper type weapon. So it's actually down to your own type of play. The Beowulf is a great sniper weapon but no good if you run and gun because of its fire rate. So basically each gun is good in different types of gameplay and you just find the one that suits you best. There is no such thing as an overpowered weapon that will beat all others. The developer was really trying to say the m4 will cover you for a lot of things because people were opposed to the amount of xp required to get some weapons but the game is simply designed to be a long term proposition for those that buy it and xp and new weapons that take time to unlock keeps you playing. And I couldn't advise what weapon to use either, even after 30 hours of gameplay, because each gun simply has a different feel to it and will suit others gameplay differently than my own. Simply, you don't need to know if a gun is good or not before you buy it because you don't buy it, you earn it through xp and simply equip it. The range of weapons will simply suit a wide range of playing styles. Anyway, if a particular gun is killing you a lot, (top left corner shows the player and gun that got ya) aim for that one.
The question is, how many people aren't buying it because of the price? How many people who have it aren't telling their friends because it's too expensive? I don't doubt it would help, I just want to know if it's the best answer. Also, did Trigger Fist win GOTW? Does that appear anywhere?
Well I did tell my friends and I gifted it to somenofnthem so we could play online. And you could always stick that in the description that it won GOTW. Might provide a small boost.
OK thanks for the info. I read that the update that is coming will fix the gamecenter matching issue. I also read that the game has an issue with the achievements not showing on the GameCenter.Wonder if the devs will fix it too? Is there a GameCenter Leaderboard with total online wins?Just curious.
Yeah they probably will fix it. And concerning the leader boards there is one for Global kills, deaths, global XP, rifleman xp, gunner xp, scout xp, best round, multi kills (4+), and longest kill streak. Hmm might be a good idea to add online wins
Actually what you're implying is not necessarily the case. And before the thread heads down the boosters, hackers or pirates road, here's some facts. I have bought a decent bit of iap on the grounds of supporting the developer. I had unlocked all the guns up to 4th in two classes and 3rd in one class. I proceeded to buy the next unlocks because I want to see the developer get a bit of extra reward for a great game. I want to see a Trigger Fist 2 at some stage also and this was the only way I could contribute to that. I was around level 20 somewhere, plus or minus. Buying the guns and skills basically increased my ranking so that I was ranked high enough to equip the guns. I only have the mini gun left to unlock. It also serves the purpose of the gamecenter synching across devices, so that the same guns are unlocked on both your devices. So while it is possible that some people have managed to crack iap, although I sincerely hope that is not the case, the rank 43 people are those that purchased the weapons and skills with iap. On another note, the rank 43 wont be the most skilled or have over powered weapons. They (we) just took the available shortcut and showed some extra developer support. The rank 20 odd guys are the ones with the most skill from playing normally and ranking through xp only and gaining proper strategy experience. Edit. And yeah I know there is a booster at the top of the leaderboard but gamecenter allows you to report people for cheating if you click on their user name and report problem underneath. I've reported him a couple of times myself but he keeps turning up with a new user name that I then report again. Boosters will not stay there for long. Edit 2: we're lucky enough to have the true top of the leaderboard as a member here as well, scoobynoobydoo. Edit 3: and if you do have the game, put your gamecenter user name here or in the add me thread. I really need that character skin you get for playing 5 friends.
quick note to clarify the friends matches unlock skin - you can just play 5 games with the same friend (make sure you use the game center invite to get both people in the lobby)
Ahh, okay. Challenge ....... Accepted. That's it then, I'm free for the next three hours so if anybody is around, get in there.
If anyone wants to play shoot me an invite right now. I need the 5 matches as well. My GC is same as username
Challenge ...... Completed. Sort of anyway. Got the skin. Also got my ass handed to me by Draco (VaroFN on this forum). Nice games dude. Edit. It also showed that a rank 43 against a rank 15 (I think that's VaroFN's rank) can still easily be beaten. That m18 really is tough in the right players hands but he was just simply better skilled than me on certain maps. Really good games.
Good point, I like the fact that this game allows people with lower ranks and good skill to compete with higher ranks. I'm only a rank 9 but I have done better in some games than a rank 43, so it can be done. Where as a game like Mc2, if your a low rank going against a 72 rank with a golden AK, you may as well forget about it. If there are any players that are on mountain time, I would be interested in playing, usually in the evening around 7 pm mountain time.
