There's online multiplayer, but the game was released recently so it's a bit difficult to find a match with actual people. The best way to have a real match at the moment it's using the Play w/ Friends option.
No one complained people just made a suggestion and asked if it was a possibility. And the game only came out yesterday it should take a little bit for the online community to be established
And by released recently we mean yesterday. Anyway has anyone actually finished a game online with people, the guys I play with gets disconnected before we could finish a game.
It uses Apple's own gamecenter system. The game is new. The players are not on line all the time. It's not like call of duty where they sell 3 million copies straight away. The bots are there, which are very good AI for when you can't play people. I doubt if many people can tell the difference between the bots and real people without checking their user names anyway. It is a lot of fun. Even Jared, the TA writer, said in one of the comments of the video impression that it's like "concentrated fun on your iPhone" after he played it for a few hours.

Page 25, 5th post. From the developer. Xp and stats are stored on gamecenter so that xp and unlocks can be transferred from one device to another using the same gamecenter account. It's having some kind of sync problem that they are going to resolve.

@lakeeffect After playing it for a while, I still would like to see sprinting. I understand that it has gameplay implications and if they cause too big of a change, I won't say anything about this again . And could there be an option to customize the placement and size of controls? I probably will get used to it but the fire button is kind of far from the bottom of the screen, as Brad and Jared mentioned in the vid as well. Tis would really be appreciated if possible
The controls can be repositioned anywhere. They cannot be resized but if go into settings, on bottom right, there's a customise layout option. And you can basically move them anywhere you want.
I'd like a sprint button too... But I think with the game's flow and small maps it's not needed, if not better without. But I would like to see some more control like sprinting in trigger fist 2.
