Yes I agree 100% with you! I played Trials HD and Trials Evolution on my 360, and I loved both of them.
If anybody from Red Lynx / Ubisoft is reading this, your last update takes 2 steps in the right direction : first and most importantly, by making the "get the candy" mission completable IN-STAGE and not by that god-awful wheel system. And the second, by giving us daily coins and gems for adds. Now if only you made all the missions stage based, and left the wheel for some bonus items or cosmetics, and gave us the option for unlimited fuel for 2.99 usd (price of Pumped BMX 2 with full content), it would be an instant 5 star game.. and a personal - and i believe a lot of other's buy choice! Edit : bleh, the "video for gems" only worked on the first day, and hasn't worked since... I really don't know what to think about those devs.. they make a great game, then ruin it with iaps. after months, they give a way for daily gems, then make it not work..
Halloween update : the tv now works, but my pumpkin king vanished after 1150 pumpkins! I spent two days of my life smashing the pumpkins, and i had 1 day left, yet the pumpkin king decided to leave one day early.. bravo again... it's like they can't get something completely right
I'm loving the new rewards for Halloween bike skins it's made me start playing this regular again, I've not seen a pumpkin king anywhere yet tho? Or any pumpkins. I'm just earning the rewards from spinning the wheel after a track. I was suckered in and bought the new Halloween pack that included some coins,gems and the pumpkin rider and bike skin Apparently it's something to do with people who played during softlaunch I've had to use ifunbox to send red lynx my file so they can fix and return it.
i know, soft launch players had to get this fix. But i wa seeing the pumpkin king and for 2 days i was smashing pumpkins forgetting all other quests,500, 800, and now i was 1150 from 1200, just missing 50 pumpkins to get on the 4th stage of the quest, and with 1 day left, the npc tells me it's over... If they don't reply within the day to my message, i will uninstall it and never bother again. It has been THE game that i loved to hate, but more and more it's just turning 100% to hate.. It's not enough we can't pay once and play without restriction, in every update they screw up something. They should take a hint from FGOL, Hungry shark evo is awesome and has updates that actually work!
I've lost track of how much I've spent on different IAP in this game. I bought a few different ones for currency and skins, I must have spent close to £20 on it and I don't usually buy IAP, but I'm a long time trials fan and I keep coming back to this.
Woo got my player.bin file back from Redlynx all fixed and everything's working fine now. Time to smash a lot of pumpkins.
I haven't seen any pumpkins in this update yet. I have that chick in the right corner that won't let me do anything yet. When does the Halloween stuff start? Is it after the lil girl dressed up wanting more candy? Cuz that's where I'm at right now.
If you don't see any pumpkins (did you play during soft launch like me?) because uf you did you need to use ifunbox to get your player bin file and email it to redlynx, there's a thread on the official forums about it. Soft launch players files are broken some how, so they fix your file and send you it back. Mine took a little over a day to be returned and all is working fine now.
Argh I couldn't do that lol. I've bought a few of the limited time packs for £6.99 a shot. I'm about level 30ish (put far more time into this than I'd thought) Even though I've bought quite a few IAP's it's still quite a grind if your just needing cash for upgrades. Think they could of done a better job of balancing it. Or maybe they're just praying on people like me who can't wait and but the currency Well still its a great game but still not the trials game I wanted.
I was at level 20 something. The only reason I started over is because I didn't buy any IAP, plus I had played the game so long ago, so it wasn't bad starting over. I'm almost where I was at before. I ended up buying the starter pack for a buck, then turned around and bought the second pack for 3 bucks, but I don't know if I'll buy the Halloween pack for 10 bucks. I still love this game though. Yea, it's not Trials HD, EVO, or Fusion, but I actually like the story and the crazy mobile stuff. Yea, the timers suck, but with the IAPs I bough, I ended up with a ton of gems to max my fuel tank, so I can play for a decent amount of time.
This game looks gorgeous, too bad it has timers. I want to be able to keep retrying especially in a trials game. I would pay $5 if it means the timers are gone.
Debating on buying the Halloween IAP. Just wondering once the Halloween update is over, if there are any other specials with this kind of deal?
Trials Frontier is probably the best mobile game I've ever played. Been playing this almost every day since it came out, Level 51 and still haven't fully upgraded every bike. Been waiting a long time for them to open the Bunker for more PvP action. They teased it in-game for quite a while but it wasn't accessible. The new showdown system is some more great game design.
